    Today was Harry
Redknapp's 114th Premier League game in charge of Tottenham Hotspur,
which equals the number of games Martin Jol was in charge for.

So how do their records compare?

    MARTIN JOL
    Played: 114
    Won: 47
    Drawn: 30
    Lost: 37
    Goals For: 169
    Goals Against: 148
    Goal Difference: +21
    Points Won: 171
Average Points per Game: 1.5 (57 per full season)
    Win Percentage: 41.23%

    HARRY REDKNAPP
    Played: 114
    Won: 56
    Drawn: 29
    Lost: 29
    Goals For: 175
    Goals Against: 133
    Goal Difference: +42
    Points Won: 197
Average Points per Game: 1.73 (66 per full season)
    Win Percentage: 49.12%

Harry's record, statistically speaking, is the best of any Spurs manager since the club joined the Football League in 1908.

Harry has five more matches to go before he equals Gerry Francis' total of 119 Premier League matches in charge of Spurs.

and yet some clownshoes on here would still rather have Jol in charge over Harry...

"The worst decision the club has ever made imo", kingdawson

"Absolute desperation, a farcial move. I just can't convey how angry I am at this choice. This is going to set the club back decades. Harry Redkanpp?", The Hood

"I didn't even hate Graham as much as I hate Redknapp. Don't see how I can continue following the club while this administration is in charge now.", bankrupt

"Sorry, everyone is deluded if you think 5 mil for Bent 'arry is worth it. He's so average it's unbelievable.", Clint Craven

"I am seriously disappointed with the appointment of this utter lady garden - it ranks almost as low as appointing the man in a raincoat - I am seriously questioning why I bother, and whether I should just take a break from all this until bollock chops leaves, which will hopefully be 364 days from now, win lose or draw.", Bullet

"Big, big, big mistake. Second only in Spurs' history to appointing Graham. I'll tell you now, we may not get relegated but under Redknapp we will never play what we consider football.", scaramanga

FA Cup Quarter Finals (lost vs. Newcastle 1-0)
    Finished 9th in the league

    2005/2006
Carling Cup 2nd Round (knocked out vs. Grimsby)
FA Cup 3rd Round (knocked out vs. Leicester)
    Finished 5th

    2006/2007
Carling Cup Semi Finals (knocked out vs. Arsenal)
FA Cup Quarter Finals (knocked out vs. Chelsea)
UEFA Cup Quarter Finals (knocked out vs. Sevilla)
    Finished 5th

    Cups under Redknapp:

    2008/2009
Carling Cup Final (lost vs. Man Utd)
FA Cup 4th Round (lost vs. Man Utd)
UEFA Cup Round of 32 (lost vs. Shakhtar)
    Finished 8th

    2009/2010
Carling Cup Quarter Final (lost vs. Man Utd)
FA Cup Semi Final (lost vs. Portsmouth)
    Finished 4th

    2010/2011
Carling Cup 3rd Round (lost vs. Arsenal)
FA Cup 4th Round (lost vs. Fulham)
Champions League Quarter Finals (lost vs. Real Madrid)
    Finished 5th

While neither manager has added any trophies to the Spurs cabinet, Jol does have a better overall record than Redknapp in cup competitions*:

    MARTIN JOL
    Played: 35
    Won: 20
    Drawn: 8
    Lost: 7
    Goals For: 73
    Goals Against: 36
    Goal Difference: +37
    Win Percentage: 57.14%

    HARRY REDKNAPP
    Played: 45
    Won: 22
    Drawn: 12
    Lost: 11
    Goals For: 86
    Goals Against: 53
    Goal Difference: +33
    Win Percentage: 48.89%

*FA Cup, Football League Cup, UEFA Cup, UEFA Europa League & UEFA Champions League.

lol! lought ! bet you have been waiting for harry to hit the 114 games for spurs to do the comparison with jol !
Of course you miss out that harry has had a little bit more money to spend, but yes of the two i prefer harry,
But what jol achieved was remarkable, he could have qualified us for the cl but for a tad more luck, and the gooners were a lot stronger in those days.

Redknapp has a better squad to select from, IMO , then Jol and his record bears this out. Jol had much more personality & charisma and seemed to hold Spurs more dear then Redknapp, but Redknapps record speaks for it-self and we can only hope he improves on it and pushes his win percentage much higher . . . . .

The feeling inside the club was that he was a lucky manager and the players were not to happy with him. I always felt that way about him and I think the way he has moved about a lot since he left us proves that in my opinion.
He is struggling at Fulham and could be gone before the end of the season.

Personally I think Harry is a miles better manager, maybe not the greatest but the players like him and he is doing a good job for us and I certainly wouldn't want Jol back that's for sure.
Having said all that I hope we get Ancelloti in the Summer.
