Tough game, but they are not the same without our Caulker and we tend to do ok against teams that like to play.

I was a little worried about the Norwich game but I am even more worried about this one. Very tough place to go and get a result. A draw wouldn.t be bad but hope to get a win and keep the pressure on those below us.

Here's one for the doggy lovers on here ....

Swansea City and its supporters are unofficially known as 'Jacks'. One explanation for this name is that during the 17th century, sailors from Swansea were respected and any 'Swansea Jack' was allowed to join the crew based simply on the town's reputation for good sailors. Many, however, believe that the name originates from the renowned life-saving dog Swansea Jack..

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swansea_Jack

Swansea Jack was a black retriever with a longish coat. He was similar in appearance to a modern Flat-Coated Retriever,[2] but was instead identified at the time as a Newfoundland dog, despite being considerably smaller and lighter in build than the typical modern Newfoundland dog, possibly because he was reported to have been born in Newfoundland.[3] He lived in the North Dock / River Tawe area of Swansea with his master, William Thomas. Jack would always respond to cries for help from the water, diving into the water and pulling whoever was in difficulty to safety at the dockside.

His first rescue, in June 1931, when he saved a 12-year-old boy, went unreported. A few weeks later, this time in front of a crowd, Jack rescued a swimmer from the docks. His photograph appeared in the local paper and the local council awarded him a silver collar. In 1936, he had the prestigious 'Bravest Dog of the Year' award bestowed upon him by the London Star newspaper.

He received a silver cup from the Lord Mayor of London and he is still the only dog to have been awarded two bronze medals ('the canine V.C.') by the National Canine Defence League (now known as Dogs Trust). Legend has it that in his lifetime he saved 27 people from the Docks / River Tawe. Swansea Jack died in October 1937 after eating rat poison. His burial monument, paid for by public subscription, is located on the Promenade in Swansea near St. Helen's Rugby Ground. In 2000, Swansea Jack was named 'Dog of the Century' by NewFound Friends of Bristol who train domestic dogs in aquatic rescue techniques.

Yeah true but it were 1-0 at the time they went down to nine players .....

I feel our strength is playing Sandro, Modric and Parker in midfield, more so against a team like Swansea who want to pass the ball around ....
Have three up top putting pressure on their back line and crush the life out of them Smile

    Swansea

Swansea have the best home defensive record in the division with just three goals conceded.

There have been just 14 league goals scored at the Liberty Stadium this season - fewer than anywhere else in the division (Anfield and the Hawthorns are the next lowest with 18).

All of the Swans' four league wins this season have come at home
Brendan Rodgers' side have won just one of their last eight league games.

    Tottenham

Victory for Spurs would equal our record total away wins in a Premier League season (seven, set in 1993-94, 1995-96, 2009-10 and 2010-11)

Gareth Bale has scored or assisted at least one goal in seven of his last eight Premier League appearances and has already created as many Premier League goalscoring chances in 2011-12 as he did in 2010-11 (48).

We have at least seven points more than we've had after 17 games in any previous Premier League season.

After Tottenham’s fine victory at Norwich, Harry Redknapp revealed that he had told both Rafael van der Vaart and Gareth Bale to ‘play where they want’ during the match. It worked rather well – the Dutchman had a fine game finding space between the lines, while Bale popped up all over the place and scored two good goals.

It’s particularly interesting to see where Bale moves when he has no positional instructions – although he receives the ball a few times out in his usual left-sided position, he also drifts to the right, into central positions and into the box too – where he received a pass from Emmanuel Adebayor to slot home his first goal.

Van der Vaart is something of a tactical anarchist anyway, and generally picked up the ball in his usual positions – right-of-centre – generally from lateral passes rather than forward balls.
