Jermaine Defoe. Under-appreciated.

The problem as I see it is I don't think Defoe is a typical Spurs striker. I think JD's style is more suited to a team like like Stoke , teams that don't play to many passes and are more direct in their play.
He's hero is Ian Wright who some say JD modeled his game on ..Wright did very well under Graham so perhaps Tony Pullis would've got the best out of JD?

his best days are behind him, still a good box striker, lethal, but he is 30 now , still a good sub to have on the bench

I feel really sorry for the guy as he has hardly had many starts in the past 2 seasons and yet still gets his fair share of goals.
He can be a really exciting player and I would like him to stay but only as a bench player but he deserves better and I think he should move on for his last few seaons.
