Bale got MoM today and came up to the oak room for the award.
The 'compare' used his brains this time and asked what questions did we want to ask him...he got the normal;
1. why do you make the heart sign? - refused to answer
2. How did he get in trouble with the hostess coming back from Greece - grinned and went red and said it was just 'a bite of banter'
3. asked the serious question of how different is it under AVB to under harry....he got serious and said, they used to spend lots of time in the video room 1 on 1 analysing their performances and looking at how to improve with Harry, whereas with AVB it's 'all' about team tactics and how to improve the - i.e. when to move, where you should be on the pitch, how to retain your shape..
4. asked why he keeps moving to right - said it was coaches instructions as he gets 'too much attention at times'..
Few other silly questions, but when asked about the game said they were all 'struggling a bit' for energy in the first half, but tried to up tempo in second...looking forward to what should be a special game against Chelsea - they all think this is the real test of how they're progressing and AVB is dead keen to win it and has already told them that!
Anyway, that's as much as I can remember!
