Re: Leeds United Match Thread
My feeling is that it was a dire defensive performance that let us down. At times we looked as defensively inept as we have for a very long time. Maybe Ramos era! For me it was the worst I have seen Big V in a Spurs shirt. Ekotto had "one of those" games. Caulker & Naughton just didn't look at the races today. Thudd looks like he has gone backwards as a footballer. Maybe it's the weight of all that hair? Just as an aside what will happen if he never scores again? He'll end up looking like the hermit from Life of Brian! Lennon & Bale never really got going and we looked lightweight going forward. Only Parker seemed to be really up for it. This isn't just criticism as all teams have games like this and today was such a game for us & it does seem to be the year of the FA Cup upsets so we are not alone . . . . .

You wanted Naughton at right back and we looked better when Walker came on.Verts has been ill, which us why he missed the Manure game, so maybe AVB at fault for not playing Daws, as Jan still didn't look right. Listen, the whole weekend was full of shocks, we got caught by two long balls, Brad only had only one save to make apart from that, we dominated yet again, but didn't look like we took it seriously. One thing is for certain, we need another striker.

WHAT AN ABJECT PERFORMACE
The performance against Leeds was really poor, no passion, players not passing to each other instead going for glory like big charlies like they have arrived now. This goes for most of the players football is a team sport.
I was really dissapointed we had anough chances to have drawn or won the game and I hope we play better against Norwich otherwise our season and top 4 will be out of the window

You mean like his cross for Dempseys header and unlike you I don't slag our players, just pointed out that I thought that Naughton had a less than average game and we looked better when Walker came on, so moving him to right back may not be the solution. So today, who went for glory? Leeds, like Oldham and many lower league teams this weekend took their chances and defended for their lives, Lought it happens in the cup, our next opponents Norwich lost at home to non league Luton, like I said, even on loan, we need a striker this transfer window.

Re: Leeds United Match Thread
Embarrassment.
Friedel - 6. Could have done better for the 1st goal?
Naughton - 4. Not good enough.
Caulker - 4. Not good enough, should have played Dawson.
Vertonghen - 3. No excuse for laziness.
BAE - 5. Best of the defence, not saying much.
Lennon - 5. Couple of driving runs, no end product.
Parker - 5. Tried hard but not good enough.
Huddlestone - 4. Shocking.
Bale - 6. Couple of nice runs and crosses.
Siggurdsen - 4. Completely anonymous.
Dempsey - 7. Best of the bunch. Good goal and tried hard.
Subs:
Dembele - 4. Offered nothing and lazy pass almost cost us anothe goal.
Obika - 4. Not good enough.
Walker - 6. Offered more going forward than Naughton.

Maybe his still suffering from his illness, you just can't go from being as good as his been, so down to the medical staff and AVB for playing if he is still unfit.

Pray tell who was being greedy?
Team mates passed when they need ed to and had shots that were saved or blocked, or do you want to try and walk the ball in the net.

Dead right Shear, the holy grail is top 4 and the Champs League or for some survival. Hardly any Prem teams played their first eleven and even the ones that did get their chance couldn't be bothered, so I wouldn't read too much into the weekend games.

Re: Leeds United Match Thread
We played like it was going to be easy even after they scored their first goal.We only started to get serious when they scored their second.
All credit to Leeds though they kept going to the end and should have had a third. They were the better side and deserved their win.
Need a playmaker and striker NOW!!!
However the window closes in 3 days so it isn't going to happen is it? Unless it's another couple of low cost make weights for 6 or 7 mil or even freebies like Nelson, Zaha or Siggerson.
