Sunday's ref Lee Mason awarded 3 penalties to Sunderland against us in April 2010 & sent off Daws & Bale in our 2-1 defeat at Stoke in 2008!

Safe to say Mason isn't our biggest fan so we can't give him any excuse for him to punish us Sunday.

I really think we can get something out of this. A draw isn't beyond us and City didn't play well last time out, Could even win it who knows?

Tottenham produced a stunning comeback against Manchester City to boost their Champions League ambitions and leave Manchester United three points away from winning the Premier League title.

City led through Samir Nasri's early strike before Spurs hit back with three goals in seven second-half minutes.

Clint Dempsey's tap-in levelled before Jermain Defoe fired past Joe Hart.

Gareth Bale, returning from injury, dinked in the third as Spurs moved level with fourth-placed Chelsea.

Tottenham produced a stunning fightback against Manchester City to boost their Champions League ambitions and leave Manchester United three points away from winning the Premier League title.

Bale's goal capped a dramatic turnaround in north London and means United will clinch their 20th top-flight crown by beating Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Monday.

Roberto Mancini's defending champions are 13 points adrift of their cross-city rivals with five games left to play for both sides.

Yet for the majority of the match it seemed as though City would clinch a routine win and keep their slim hopes of retaining the title alive after Nasri steered in James Milner's pullback.

Tottenham went into the match on the back of a 10-day break following their Europa League exit at Basel but they produced a lethargic display which only burst into life after Dempsey's equaliser.

Up to that point, City's assurance in possession, coupled with their willingness to drive forward on the counter-attack, served to frustrate the majority inside a subdued White Hart Lane.

But Dempsey, clearly on-side despite the protest of the City defence, pounced at the far post to convert Bale's outside-of-the-boot cross.

Suddenly, the home crowd found their voices after Dempsey's goal and the players found their belief as they upped the tempo in search of a winner.

It came four minutes later when substitute Defoe, who had only just entered the action as a replacement for the ineffective Emmanuel Adebayor, cut inside City skipper Vincent Kompany before unleashing a unstoppable angled drive past Hart.

Spurs looked a completely different team as their energy levels rose, in contrast to a City team who started to look like they were feeling the effects, both mentally and physically, of a hectic week.

The Blues enjoyed the high of reaching the FA Cup final by beating last-four opponents Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday, before they grinded out a 1-0 Premier League win against Wigan on Wednesday.

Spurs talisman Bale, who has missed two games with ankle ligament damage, was almost anonymous in the opening 75 minutes before he followed up his assist for the equaliser by scoring the third.

The Welshman latched on to a piercing throughball from another Spurs substitute, Tom Huddlestone, and managed to hold off Gael Clichy to coolly clip over the head of Hart.

It leaves fifth-placed Tottenham level on 61 points with Chelsea, who currently occupy the final Champions League qualification place, and two points behind third-placed Arsenal heading into the final month of the season.

LOL Lought why not damn him with faint praise?
For a long time we were 2nd best but what spirit eh to end up winning 3-1?
Thudd did seem to make a difference afro as did Holtby. Too narrow & congested until then. Quality subs.

they all made a differnce. i thought we was poor for 70 mins.
the reason is dembele parker dont have that vison.

again its the subs that changed the game.

    drop parker for home games.
hes only needed when we need to hang on to a lead or some away games.

hudd controlls games with hes passing.

defoe is good at an impact sub.

Brilliant performance, the whole team gave their all from the first minute. Looked a bit desperate but we needed to be and it paid off, wish we would play like this in every game, constant pressing and high energy. But AVB got it spot on, started with a steady formation to see how City would play then changed it perfectly in the 65th minute and that won us the game. Bale was quiet as he was still not 100%, but setup 1 and scored another, world class! Loved Holtbys energy, but still has a lot to learn but a great prospect. Dembele & Dempsey did well, but Dawson was amazing what a leader! Loved how he got forward and went on a run, very unlike him. BAE put in a good performance also but not consistant enough throughout the season for me. And finally, Huddlestone was MOTM for me with his vision and passing and controlled our play, hope he's at Spurs next season!

dawson as always solid mr reliable vertonghen always there at the right time crucial interceptions , the team is getting there thats for sure .

seem to make the differnce lol
he did make the differnce because dembele and parker could not play a forward pass. they had no vison.

hudd and holtby changed the game. would dembele have played defoe in with that pass.
no he would of run with it.
would parker have played that pass and put enough weight on the pass for bale.

    noooooo
