    missed opportunity Empty missed opportunity

Personaly I can't wait for this season to finish. I'm not looking forward to the matches at the moment but on reflection it is an opportunity missed in my opinion.

It is probably the weakest premiership for a number of years with all the top teams being beaten a lot more than other seasons and the quality of the football well below what we have come to expect by the top 4 clubs.

City with all their stars only perform as they should on a few occasions and have not improved.

Utd even with Rooney and Van Persie have got worse and need a complete overhaul.

Arsenal are not better than last year and Ozil hasn't been a great success as yet but they still manage to be challenging for the title.

Then theirs Chelsea and the arrival of mourinio who are playing boring football and have dropped points in matches they would be expected to win comfortably.

Then there is Liverpool who have only tweaked their squad, with no major signings with the exception of Sturridge yet they are challenging for the title on the back of 2 players, the afor mentioned Sturridge and Suarez one of whom was there last year when they finished 7th.

On the other hand we spent 110 mil and are playing worse than we have for a few seasons and being walloped by the teams above who in my opinion are playing no better and with the possible exception of Liverpool a lot worse than last season.

That's why I say it's an oppportunity missed and I can't wait for the season end.

I believe had we of not bought any players.....although I accept we needed to buy....but Bale had stayed we would have been at least top 4 and at best challenging for the title. He is world class and is proving that with some amazing goals at Madrid and in the week for Wales. He will go on and improve and become one of the all time greats.

I know he wanted to go and when Madrid come calling most players go but go back a season and had we qualified.... and we should have....for the CL then I think he would have stayed at least for another season and this could have been our year.

I know it's all ifs and buts but I think most will agree the quality of football in the premiership this year is very average overall and that's why I say it is an opportunity missed.

Trouble is Mikey every season turns out to be a missed opportunity. We're making a habit of imploding at this time of year.
