    Doherty Empty Doherty

Post by Guest Mon Apr 26 2010, 07:10

Gary Doherty, the ginger pele captained Norwich City to being crowned the League 1 champions yesterday. The Tottenham legend (soon to be in the hall of fame, along with some of the average entrants already there) started 35 games of the league campaign scoring 5 goals, presumably when asked to play up front due to lack of striking options.

Anyway I am sure we all would love to wish Gary a swift return to the heights of the english game at 30, he still has some years left. Maybe Redknapp would be tempted to bring him back to the lane if Gudjohnsen fails to make his move permanent. With all these 4-5-1 articles, I expect Gary could play that position, and make it his own.

I for one will never forgive Arnesen and Santini, for selling one of our major assets. Lasagne gate? we're 'avin a laugh Gary would of played through the poisoning, probably nodding in a double hat trick from the back of his head by mistake. Bring him home 'Arry.

Ireland haven't qualified for a major tournament since Doherty's last cap. FACT.

Remember him scoring the winner against Sunderland about 9 years ago at the SOL, I was there, we were 1-0 down at half time and came back to win 2-1
