City To Swoop For Top 4 Manager

City after Harry? Latchley10 This surfaced this morning on
Manchester City’s finest unofficial forum, Bluemoon.
‘Listen do not believe what the media and the chairman
    are telling us.
Because as my friend and former work colleague of the club reiterated
    to
me again today that Mancini’s days are numbered.

It is not performance related is what she has since told
    me and that it
is just his face does not fit with certain board members. They want
a homegrown manager and I know you will not like hearing this but
they will definitely make an approach for Harry Redknapp. She said they
will make a huge offer for him.

She is still adamant this will happen early next season
    but if they could
push it through this summer they would do But there is a lot of red
    tape
and legal matters before they get to this stage.

There is no reason for her to lie to me as i have known
    her for a very
long time. And so I am getting use to the idea that Mancini is not
    going
to be a long term manager for us of which i am disappointed as i like
    the
guy and think he is a talented coach.

But it is Shiek Mansour’s club now and he can do what he
    likes.She told
me it was Shiek Mansour who told Khaldoon to relieve Hughes of his
    duties
as he was not happy with the way things were going. She only told me
    that
today. And I will not have a bad word said about Shiek Mansour after
    everything
he has done with for the club.’

Is this rubbish? Well, we know that Mancini isn’t staying, but
perhaps this week’s powers that be at City don’t realize that
    Harry doesn’t do commuting well.

I think i'ts very unlikely that City will go for Harry, Baz, or any English manager in fact. However if they do make a bid for him and offer "Loadsa Money....." then I can see the mercenary side of him taking it, he has done it on a few occasions in the past, has he not. If it were to happen and god forbide it does, you could see an exodus of our players. But I think it's a load of shite anyway.

Maybe Citeh would try out of spite & to try to destabalise a rival. Next thing, would 'arry want to go ? What would he gain apart from another season without Chumps League football ? The thing is, who is the unnamed source ? Cruella De Ville ? Queen Elizabeth ? Mrs Gallagher ? Exactly me thinks. The post seems like an 'if only' dream scenario. I could post that a good friend works at Liverpool & Torres is definately coming to The Lane. No truth in it but nothing to stop me posting it . . . . . .

i think a 5 million pound + job could tempt a few dave, i think rikard, hiddink, scolari or even cappello if england dont perform, could be tempted by this, my point is city will go for a bigger name than harry, and thats said with the utmost of respect.

Agree with that Burgs. As I stated maybe out of ulterior motives they may sniff around just to try and disrupt but they want a "big-name" foreigner with a bit of a reputation behind them. I'm not even fully convinced that Mancini won't be there next season. Let the guy build his own squad etc. Thing is Citeh are a bit of an unknown entity and to quote the old kids program (was it Stingray lol) anything could happen in the next half hour . . .. .

"Stand by for action! We are about to launch Stingray! Anything can happen in the next half hour!"
