Sandro's Internacional have made it through to the Copa Libertadores semi-final .

Having won their home first-leg QF against Estudiantes 1-0, they made it through to the last four last night on away goals ..

I actualy watched the game last night on a dodgy internet stream ...... Estudiantes were leading 2-0 with ten minutes to go and International didnt seem to have a clue how to get the goal they needed ... The Estudiantes home fans then started celebrating like their team had just won the competition itself , letting off loads of fireworks behind their goalkeeper's goal and the smoke made it even harder for me to see what was going on through my dodgy internet stream....

Internacional seeing the smoke engulf their opponents goal , decided to go long ball into their opponents area and an assured Estudiantes defence soon became a panic-stricken one ...

Our Sandro who'd had a quiet game was then subbed on 85mins ..If Estudiantes could just hold on for five minutes he would be with us in July but no , on 89mins another long ball into the foggy Estudiantes penalty box and an Internacional player got onto the end of it to calmly slot it past the goalie ..... I didnt see it clearly but my heart sank when the spanish commentator shouted out ,,,,,,'gooooooaaaaaaaal'!

What then followed after the final whistle was a disgrace as players started rucking each other ...........The Internacional bench was stormed by Estudiantes players and staff .. The riot cops with batons and shields had to get involved too. Really was ugly ....

Oh well, it looks like Harry will have to wait a little longer for his Sandro....

Ah Brazillian club football Arnie. From the commentators to the players to the fans there's something almost other-worldly about it. A sense of theatre and madness that runs hand-in-hand to make a spectacle that is football but somehow isn't . . . . . . .

Its their version of the Champs League , Vis....Estudiantes are an argentinian club ..... All their top clubs have mainly south american players playing for different clubs from various countries .... Internacional's centre forward is an Argie .....In fact both teams had a mixture of argies and brazilians ..... It was a little like a few years back in the champs league when I think it were Valencia and Inter Milan .. The ref blew the whistle and not a handshake in sight and the some of the players traded blows ...

The stadium was very 1940-50 and the pitch 1970s and Estudiantes is meant to be one of Argentina's top football clubs .....

At the very least , I think Sandro when he gets here will enjoy his new surroundings ...

Sandro has won South America's top prize with our club partners Internacional of Brazil.

Our summer signing played the full 90 minutes as Inter won the second leg of the Copa Libertadores - the equivalent of the Champions League in South American football - 3-2 against Chivas of Mexico to make it a 5-3 aggregate victory for the team from Porto Alegre.

The midfielder saw an early half-chance saved before Chivas levelled the tie overall at 2-2 with a goal just before half-time.

But Inter turned it around in the second half with goals from Rafael Sobis, Leandro Damiao and Giuliano putting them 5-2 up on aggregate, much to the delight of over 50,000 fans in Inter's Beira-Rio Stadium.

It eventually ended 5-3 on aggregate and Brazilian legend Pele was on hand to present the trophy.

Sandro is scheduled to arrive here at Spurs next week.

Brilliant, now he knows what it's like to win a major trophy, we need winners at Tottenham.
