let this one be truePeter Crouch 'set for Spurs to Everton transfer before start of season'

Spurs striker Peter Crouch is being linked with a surprise move back to Merseyside this summer, with Everton hoping to capture the ex-Liverpool hitman for a cut-price transfer fee this week.

Peter Crouch could be leaving London in favour of a move back to Liverpool

..The Toffees are keen to add some firepower up front and may move for the out-of-favour forward, who faces a battle to make the starting XI at White Hart Lane this year.

Crouch, who is facing allegations about his personal life, could return to Merseyside just two years after leaving Liverpool for London when he was frozen out of the Reds first team under Rafael Benitez.

However, in a strange twist of fate, the two Mersey rivals could be set to battle one another for the England international's signature - with new Anfield boss Roy Hodgson a keen admirer.

David Moyes is desperate to sign a new striker for this year and sees Crouch, 29, as the perfect foil for fellow new arrival Jermaine Beckford.

The former Leeds hitman arrived at Goodison Park in May on a free transfer and is expected to play a large part in the season.

However, top-flight experience alongside the 26-year-old would be very welcome from Moyes' point of view - and Crouch certainly fits the bill having played for five different clubs in the Premier League

Britain's cheapest brothel in Liverpool by Carliso Regains. Published Sun 22 Mar 2009 12:22

Britains's cheapest brothel where payment for sex was as cheap as a CIGARETTE was uncovered in Liverpool.

'Lush Lasses', which masqueraded itself as a 24 hour massage parlour, was raided by cops after a punter boasted to an undercover police officer about how cheaply he got his rocks off.

A team of officers who had been investigating the whorehouse swooped in to the premises in Litherland and unearthed details of the cut-price romping.

Police were shocked to find the hookers price list taped to the wall of the seedy knocking shop which offered FULL SEX for the amazing price of one cigarette.

The four prostitutes involved in the illegal trade were then made to appear before Litherland Magistrates.

After a two day hearing hookers Gina Woods, Sheila Johnson, Brenda Halliday and Dawn Thealis were all found guilty of running a brothel and fined £250.
