William Gallas has become the latest player to cross the north London divide by signing for Arsenal's arch-rivals Tottenham. Here, we look at the other men who have moved directly between the clubs.JIMMY BRAIN (Arsenal 1924-31, Tottenham 1931-35)Brain
was the first man to score 100 goals for Arsenal and also helped them
win their maiden league title. He was arguably past his best when he
joined Spurs.GEORGE HUNT (Tottenham 1930-37, Arsenal 1937-38)Hunt
boasted an incredible goalscoring record for Spurs and helped get them
promoted to the First Division. He also won three England caps before
joining the Gunners.FREDDIE COX (Tottenham 1938-49, Arsenal 1949-53)The
Second World War disrupted Cox's Spurs career. He joined Arsenal in
1949 and became an instant hero when he scored the winner against
Chelsea in that year's FA Cup semi-final replay.LAURIE BROWN (Arsenal 1961-64, Tottenham 1964-70)Brown
spent three years at Highbury before moving to Tottenham. His Spurs
debut was in the north London derby and he nearly scored.JIMMY ROBERTSON (Tottenham 1964-68, Arsenal 1968-70)Scottish winger Robertson could play on either flank and joined Arsenal in a swap deal with David Jenkins in 1968.DAVID JENKINS (Arsenal 1966-68, Tottenham 1968-70)Jenkins
was a teenage prodigy who came up through the ranks at Highbury as a
highly-promising striker before moving to Spurs in exchange for
Robertson.STEVE WALFORD (Tottenham 1975-77, Arsenal 1977-81)Walford made just one appearance for Spurs but enjoyed far greater success at Arsenal, helping them win the FA Cup in 1979.WILLIE YOUNG (Tottenham 1975-77, Arsenal 1977-81)Young was an uncompromising defender who played in three consecutive FA Cup finals for Arsenal from 1978.PAT JENNINGS (Tottenham 1964-77, Arsenal 1977-85)A
goalkeeping legend for both clubs and Northern Ireland, Jennings was
thought to be past his best when Spurs let him go but he also went on to
play in a hat-trick of FA Cup finals for Arsenal from 1978.KEVIN STEAD (Tottenham 1976-78, Arsenal 1978-79)Stead made the fewest number of appearances for the two clubs of all those who have made the switch, just 16 in total.SOL CAMPBELL (Tottenham 1992-2001, Arsenal 2001-2006)Campbell
suffered terrible abuse after allowing his Spurs contract to run down
and defecting to Arsenal on a free transfer. Fans of the club who
brought him through the ranks have still not forgiven the former England
defender.ROHAN RICKETTS (Arsenal 2001-02, Tottenham 2002-05)Ricketts
joined Spurs not long after Campbell moved in the opposite direction
but, having made just one senior appearance for the Gunners, he avoided
the level of vitriol suffered by the latter.
