    Part 1

    We are the entertainers of Europe. How happy must UEFA be that we are in their 'closed shop' competition ? 4 games 20 goals. Red cards & incidents. Beautifull attacking football. No dead rubbers. No boring chess matches. No putting a team out thats there not to lose rather than win. Excitment, thrills & spills & action galore. We are Tottenham, super Tottenham from The Lane. On this showing alone UEFA should give us a wild card entry every season . . . ..

    Part 2

    We are unofficial Champions of Europe. We have played the holders Inter over 2 games and beat them 6-5 on aggregate. For 45 minutes Inter stuffed us but for the remaining 135 minutes we have owned them and made them our bitches. One of the best defences in Europe and we slide SIX, yes 6, goals past them. Don't you just love being a Spurs fan ? What a great fcuking team to support . . . . . .

    Thanx guys. Heres another thought. Only 12, yes just twelve, free kicks conceded by both teams throughout the match ! An amazing stat. A free kick awarded as little as every 7 and a half minutes ! This allowed for the free flowing game that we witnessed. Yet another fact that added to one of the truely great European Club games of recent years. We really are a breath of fresh air for European Club Football . . . . . .

    (Just as an aside for any one who saw the game. Was it just me or was the 4th official Ron Mael from the band Sparks ? ? ? ?)
