Pavlyuchenko has now scored 7 goals in all competitions so far this season.
His stats : 6 starts, 9 subs, total playing time = 684 mins.

Only 3 players in EPL have scored more goals in all competitions(CS,PL,CC,FA,Europe) than him :

Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea) - 10 goals (15 starts, 1283 mins)
    Samir Nasri (Arsenal) - 8 goals (11 starts, 1 sub, 1046 mins)
Darren Bent (Sunderland) - 8 goals (12 starts, 1065 mins)

8 players have scored the same no of goals :

    Chamakh (Arsenal) - 7 goals (12 starts, 3 subs, 1083 mins)
    Walcott (Arsenal) - 7 goals (4 starts, 4 subs, 405 mins)
    Malouda (Chelsea) - 7 goals (13 starts, 2 subs, 1093 mins)
    Drogba (Chelsea) - 7 goals (10 starts, 1 sub, 881 mins)
Tevez (Man City) - 7 goals (11 starts, 998 mins)
    Berbatov (ManU) - 7 goals (11 starts, 2 subs, 1030 mins)
    Hernandez (ManU) - 7 goals (6 starts, 6 subs, 629 mins)
    Nolan (Newcastle) - 7 goals (9 starts, 1 sub, 779 mins)

    Of the Spurs players :

Van Der Vaart - 6 goals (10 starts, 756 mins)
    Crouch - 5 goals (13 starts, 3 subs, 1080 mins)
    Bale - 6 goals (16 starts, 1612 mins)

Say what you like about his overall play but when it comes to goal scoring, the stats prove Pavly is one of the best goal scorer in EPL at the moment !

crouch no prem goals this season and only 4lwague goals in 2010

Roman Pavlyuchenko has now scored 60% more goals than anyone else in a Spurs shirt during 2010.

And his strike-rate of a goal for every 102 minutes played (7 goals from 715 minutes played) during 2010-11 easilly make him our most lethal goalscorer this season.

There are those who criticise his overall play, but if you're looking for someone who can hit the old onion bag with remarkable consistancy, look no further than 'Pav'.

his goal Saturday was world class, yet again wasted sitting on the bench for more than an hour

Lought I don't disagree with you that Pav seems the best option, statisically, at present up front. Problem is when he has started he has disapointed and looked out of place playing the lone front man role and I'm sure the management see him as more of an impact sub then a starting option . . . . .

Personally I would be playing Pav Lennon & Bale as impact subs in the league. (Lennon & Bale being, one or the other starts, never both) If we cant defend attacks through the middle then we need to play a little tighter in midfield.

you say when pav played up front on hes own he hasnt played well. yet crouch plays nearly every game and hardly ever has a good game.

I don't disagree with that either Lought but I don't pick the team. My point is that I think the management think that Crouchinio offers more over a game than Pavy, except goals, and that is why he comes on as a sub . . . . ..

Crouch is picked ahead of Pav because he was a Harry buy and for no other reason IMO ..

It's Harry's biggest failing since he's been at Spurs ...
