After some of the refereeing bestowed upon us recently, you have to wonder what is going on.

The significant terrible decisions are bad enough (Defoe's red, Tiote (?) not getting sent off today, and you could also question Kaboul's red) and they clearly stand out, but there have been so many bad small decisions through our last few league games.

Essien on Bale against Chelsea could be added to the above list? Not to mention the debacle at Old Trafford
