Why Spurs will pip 'Flavourless' Man City again...

With the exception of the article title, there will be
no more negativity towards Man City - only a mixture of facts, balanced
comments and frontier-breaking writing will be used from this point
    onward.

Fact 1: Man City buy players who are mercenaries...
sorry! From THIS point on there will be no Man City negativity. Picture
this... Eastlands Stadium. Man City v Spurs. A winner takes all game for
a Champions League spot. Kaboul crosses (Deflection)... CROUCH... We
all know what happens next, and my estimation is that it will be the
same two teams slugging it out towards the end of this season probably
for 4th spot (maybe in a couple of years for the title!) Wearing my rose
tinted specs I can see Van der Vaart, Bale and Modric parading the
Premiership Trophy at WHL and forcing The King to do a lap of honour
with it hoist above his head, but unfortunately we live in reality and
for both Tottenham and City fans-deep in our hearts I think we know that
the title will be won by only one of two teams this year...Man Utd or
    Chelsea.

Man U have hardly got going and yet they are top with 2
games in hand on most of their rivals, and looking very hard to get
anything out of. Chelsea will come good (although here is hoping
against). FACT 2: Man City are the richest club in the world. In terms
of spending power nobody comes close to them. Even Chelski don't come
close which let's be honest - we were all happy about when the City take
over happened. Yet, I believe that although money (as Chelsea have
proved) does make an impact - that will not be the case this season-and
this is because of fact 3... FACT 3: Togetherness. I would argue that
despite all the flashing of the cash there is one thing that City lack,
and that is quite blatant to see for even the most hardcore City
    fan...togetherness and team spirit.

When Man City are playing at
the top of their game and firing on all cylinders they are a brutal
force and there is no arguing that - arguably one of the best sides in
Europe, however, it`s when things don`t go their way that they begin to
show their ugly side...and boy have they got some ugly faces (Tevez,
Lescott, Kolarov) Sorry! No more negatives towards Man City from this
point on... Back to the togetherness factor - which is the point of the
    article.

Daniel Levy has been an unsung hero really for
Tottenham and has used his shrewd business acumen over a number of years
to put together the right ingredients - like a quiet man in the corner
just learning, observing, watching, like a careful chef shopping slowly
for the absolute correct ingredients - throwing inspiring flavours into
his cooking pot along the way (Modric: The Fine Wine that makes you go
'Aaaaaaaaaaaw', Van Der Vaart: The Chilli Pepper that gets your heart
pumping, or Bale: The Meatball that any right back in the world thinks
looks ok to eat until it`s too late and then he is racing to the toilet
to be sick, and of course... Harry Redknapp being the Anise in the
Michelin star curry so to speak, and who to be fair has really created
the togetherness factor in our current Great team.

    In
Juxstaposition; City have been like a quickly thrown together omelette
with broken eggs all over the place, flour on the under pressure chef's
sweaty forehead and spillage all over the floor. On saying all this...
as I write this article City lie joint top of the PL table - 5 points
clear of Spurs (albeit we have a game in hand). FACT 4: Our other
competitors. There is one particular competitor that could be the
difference between Spurs or City getting that coveted CL spot this
season. I have already given my opinion on Manu and Chelsea who I
predict will finish 1-2 this year leaving 2 more CL spots for grabs.
That leaves one serious major competitor in the form of Arsenal who like
City and Spurs this season have proven to be a Jekyll and Hyde team.

    I
believe it is out of Spurs, City and Arsenal for 3rd, 4th and 5th spot.
Before the season began I would have also included Liverpool and Villa.
No more. Arsenal I must say I admire more than City and even Chelsea.
Although I openly and very much immaturely slate Wenger on this site.
Financially the job he has done there is quite astonishing really and
should be a guideline for many other PL clubs (not Spurs of course).

    FACT
4: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. Have you ever seen that western with
Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach and the other guy who plays 'The Bad'. The
end scene where there is a 3 way shoot out between the 3 of them is one
of the best scenes of all time, and I think that will end up mirroring a
very dramatic and painful end to this seasons campaign. Two will
survive and one will perish. In my view; Spurs are the Good, Arsenal the
bad, City the ugly (Sorry, I really don't mean for the insults). I'll
leave you to watch the film, see what happens, and make your own
    predictions...
