This is a must not lose game. In some ways a must win game. If we aspire for the top 4 and beyond it's time to lay down a marker. I know Lought has already posted along these lines so will try to merge the posts in with this. COYS. Let's see a performance that sends a message out that we are serious contenders . . . . . . . .

It would seem at The Lane we do have an advantage, especially in the goals scored column, yet stats show a score draw is the most likely. COYS . . . . . . .

We definately need a striker who can score goals. Crouch is next to useless in that department. Defoe never got started and should have come on for the last half hour at least.

we should of won 2-0 comfortably today, Crouch's shot which went a milimetre wide, and VDV's shot at the end. Gutted ! But i'm happy with the performance, Manure really did fear use today, and our CB's were excellent, as were there's. Defoe & Crouch just dont do it for me, but Defoe has more of an effect on the field sucking in defenders and turning them. I would have taken Crouch off and stuck Pav on with 20-25 mins left. Modders brilliant again today and rightly got the MOM. Harry tried though and his tactics were spot on more or less.

hes tactics was not spot on. why does he always change things aganst the big teams. we are home and play crouch. we need to play the ball on the ground. why was defoe not on sooner. how did crouch play all 90minutes.

i would of took of vdv as he was very averge today.

i thought lennon was really good today also wp but modric was amazin

daws galas hutton played well. ekotto was great bale was ok

    Cheers Baz.

Lought, I can see the reason why Harry plays Crouch so often, because he links up well with VDV and does make alot of assists, but the problem is he isnt scoring. Pav isnt a great header of the ball like Crouch. But we do need better strikers to get into that top 4, with the strikers we have i dont think they can achieve that, just look at our goal difference compared with the top 4. I can understand your frustration mate, we are all feeling it, we know we need better than Crouch, but thats all we have along with Pav & Defoe. I already said that Pav should of come on for Crouch with 20-25 mins to go. But other than that, Harry got the rest spot on, Manure were sh*t scared of us today.

every crap team has been scoring aganst man u this season. this is the 2nd season running we cant break down 10 men man u at home.

also that vdv and crouch partnershisp is a myth.

pav or defoe would of suited our play today not crouch. everytime bale lennon had the ball they had nobody to aim for in the box apart from rodney

How on earth Rooney managed to avoid a booking when he shouted "You fcuking w*nker" directly in the ref's face today, is baffling to say the least. That should've been a second yellow - if nothing else to show young footballers that you don't throw abuse at the ref like that.
