Well thats a poetential banana skin out the way. A hard fought away win on a winters Wednesday night in Lancashire. Not the prettiest game we will ever see but still a win. Oh and another clean sheet. Remember those ? Hard to acheive early season ! Gomes was superb. Corluka was fine but looked rusty, lack of full game time I suppose. Ekotto had one of his "better" games. Gallas played thro' the pain barrier and done little wrong except for the scary freekick he gave away just before half-time. Bassong had an rare uncomfertable game but I feel sure he will have learnt from it (he always looks better when playing alongside Dawson ! Hmmmmmm). Palacious was enigmatic as ever. Jay-narse was hard core. VDV was just fine but someone should tell him to stop taking corners ! Lennon was very OK out wide on the left & isolated. Defoe it just ain't happening for (be afraid Bolton, be very afraid: JermainMan needs to feed) & Crouchinio scored. Sandra looked tidy and helped shore things up when he came on. One criticism ? Pav should have had at least 10 minutes tonight. Possibly there's some sort of problem me wonders . . . . . . ..

Great win Vis. Ground it out second half because we had to. When you consider that was only their 4th defeat at home it shows how well we did. City drew and we got a game in hand over them. Game on Vis, game on son.

Oh yeah City drew and done me out £850 the w*nkers, but if those 2 dropped points mean we pip them to 4th come seasons end it will be money well lost!
