    DIRTY TRICKS Empty DIRTY TRICKS

Post by SuneJim Thu Mar 10 2011, 01:06

On pure FOOTBALL i think we should have to much for AC MILAN tonight. Bale & VD Vaart back, but i do worry about our lack of experience in a do or die Top European Match.

It's the dirty tricks we don't want to fall for & react. The stamping on feet, the pinching & continual nudging. The in your face arguing & worst of all the huge amounts of play acting we're going to have to over come.

The players need to be professional & don't get involved. The Referee & all his assistants need to be on guard against it & strong enough to penalise the Italians. If that happens i have no doubt we can win a fair football match at home against AC Milan.

TBH Jim, they tried some of that in the first leg and I remember Young Boys tried it as well, I think that we have learned very quickly over the matches how to adapt and they would not have played in an atomosphere like its gonna be at the Lane tonight.

But this is the last chance salon for The Italians & they can take the dirty tricks up a notch. You've seen some of the things they're capable of in the past & that's what they'll be up to tonight. They can't beat us just playing football & they know that.

Well Jim, you was right, dirty tactics all night, getting caught in the chest and holding their faces. Fouling Crouch all night, but getting the free kicks, crafty shirt pulling, Flamini flying in again, but we stood firm and dare I say it, defended like Italians, brilliant!!

Defended like Trojan's last night. Quite frankly a tactic i didn't know we had in us. Another string to the bow. Who'd have thought last 8 of the CL after being 3-0 down in Berne against Young Boy's,,,,,,, Amazing.

Worst offender of the dirty tricks was our ex Kevin Prince. Guy kept going down like a sack of feathers if a player got close. Superb discipline from our lads . . . . .

Damn right Vis, but we did get wise to it in the second half and the Prince did what he always does, run out of steam.
Nesta and Thiago rolling around like tarts and holding their heads when getting caught in the chest.

Weirdest thing was their goalie booting the ball straight out to get a sub on and us kciking the ball back to him!!
