    Hoddle Empty Hoddle

Post by LOBO Fri Apr 08 2011, 18:08

Thought i'd put this is here after all Glenn is a spurs legend

PAUL INCE reckons Glenn Hoddle should be given a
shock second chance as England manager. Hoddle was axed after three
years as England boss in 1999 after his controversial comments about
    disabled people.

    #bodycopy a { font-size: 12px; }

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is the bookies’
favourite to succeed Fabio Capello when he quits after Euro 2012. But
ex-England captain Ince, who played under Hoddle, said: “Glenn is an
unbelievable manager and would be ideal.

“He got sacked for the wrong
reasons, which weren’t football-related. I don’t see any reason why
    Glenn should not come back.”

Hoddle is currently running his own academy
for released players in Spain. Ince believes he would have led England
    to
World Cup glory in 1998 had David Beckham not been sent off against Argentina.

Ince, who left Notts County by
mutual consent last weekend, said: “If it wasn’t for the Beckham
situation, I think we would have gone on to win. We had the players, and
we had great leaders and characters. Plus Glenn’s coaching was second
    to none.”

Altough Hoddle is a spurs legend & we all worship him, i personally think it would be a step backwards.I would like to Harry stay for at least another season, lets see what players come & go in the summer.

Yea i think they have done a good job at there respective clubs on a small buget, can't see why we have to go for a big name all the time , i know the pair have never won anything, but we need to have a british manager , jose would be great but i just cant see it so who else is there ?

"arry" aint gone yet, cant believe all this twaddle about hoddle, didnt we hear from players that glen was too busy telling and showing them how fantastic a player he was, which of course was true but coming from the horses mouth just gets up players noses.

Glen had his chance, it all went wrong, along with all the other loser managers.

The best one is here now and you lot wont realise it until he,s gone.

me to if harry does go.hoddle is a total football man and plays the way i would want to see at the lane. i think he would do well now as vis says older and wiser and the foundations laid down with the great players we have and spending power of spurs. i think he would be respected by the players now. i say yes but cant see levy and co going for him.

The thread is about hoddle & ther england job, ive not seen him linked anywhere to spurs, personally i think this would be a mistake, yes tottenham man through and through but that isnt really enough for me, weve been here before and the only manager who was spurs through and through that ever came close was the Mr Vennables , hoddle no thanks, coyle ? hmm possible unproven , i like pulish or even Niel warnock
