PAUL INCE reckons Glenn Hoddle should be given a
shock second chance as England manager. Hoddle was axed after three
years as England boss in 1999 after his controversial comments about
disabled people.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is the bookies’
favourite to succeed Fabio Capello when he quits after Euro 2012. But
ex-England captain Ince, who played under Hoddle, said: “Glenn is an
unbelievable manager and would be ideal.
“He got sacked for the wrong
reasons, which weren’t football-related. I don’t see any reason why
Glenn should not come back.”
Hoddle is currently running his own academy
for released players in Spain. Ince believes he would have led England
to
World Cup glory in 1998 had David Beckham not been sent off against Argentina.
Ince, who left Notts County by
mutual consent last weekend, said: “If it wasn’t for the Beckham
situation, I think we would have gone on to win. We had the players, and
we had great leaders and characters. Plus Glenn’s coaching was second
to none.”
