    kaboul Empty kaboul

I think one of the most underrated pieces in the jigsaw puzzel that got us into the Chanpions League was the excellent job Kaboul did at right back at the tail end of last season. Be against the Goons or Chelsea he excelled in that position. And who can forget that rampaging run down the right flank and cross that assisted Crouch's all in important header? It was no coincidence methinks that the match he was dropped in against Man Utd was the match in which we were totally outplayed.

I think Kaboul showed last season that he is the best right back we have on our books. He can at least attack as well as Hutton while I feel he is a better defender than Corluka's who's inability to either drive to the byline or into the penalty area when he receives the ball about 25m from goal on the right flank or even worse his inability to cross the ball into the box. So often it is a backward pass thus excusing him of any responsibility.

I think it is an added bonus that Kaboul, Gallas, Dawson and BAE are also our four best defenders we have (on the basis both Woody and Ledders are both out of the picture). I would like to see Kaboul start on Wednesday and more importantly on Wednesday against the Goons, it is appropriate that both Huddlestone and Kaboul are both back for the final run.

THINK 'ARRY SEE'S HIM AS MORE OF A CENTRE-HALF LOUGHT, BUT YOU ARE CORRECT IN SAYING ABOUT HIS MAGNIFICENT DISPLAYS AT RIGHT BACK LAST SEASON . . . . . .
