    Paul Smith of the Mirror is adamant Levy will not sell Modric for any amount offered.

    If we sell him, it will send out a statement that we are happy to remain midtable , levy has made his bed now, can he stand by that statement or will he make himself look like a fool..because when it comes to big money daniel is the donkey to a carrot

    I posted in another thread Lobs that it is about time the "management" made the situation clear. By these statements they have. Should he go back on it, it is in the public domain. He will leave himself open to ridicule & disdain of the highest order . . . .

    If he went back on it now it would be a very silly move. I am prepared to accept that Luka etal will be staying for one more season in light of the interview above.

    Just listening to the interview again. Paul Smith says there was not a buy out clause inserted into the new contract. Thats that then Tottenham have no reason to sell him. Modric will stay for another season and who knows what will happen next season. Especially if we do manage to get 4th again.
