Giovani Dos Santos has slammed Tottenham after manager Harry Redknapp blocked his move to Sevilla just hours before the transfer window closed.

The Mexico midfielder has become the forgotten man at the club having
started just two Premier League games in three years at White Hart Lane.

He was expected to leave this summer with Redknapp streamlining his
squad during the transfer window - and there were a string of Spanish
clubs keen on a move for the 22-year-old.
“Both myself and my agent have been left disappointed, sad and angry at the way Tottenham have acted”Giovani Dos Santos

And Dos Santos has confirmed that he was on the verge of joining
Sevilla only for Redknapp to pull the plug on the deal, leaving him
"disappointed, sad and angry" with the club.

"I was very surprised that with two hours left, my coach has changed his mind," he told Fox Sports.

"In three years at Tottenham I have not been taken into account and
there has not been confidence in me at all. So I hope that this time I
hear the truth when talking to him and we can get down to football.

"To be honest I already felt at another club, Sevilla, and we had
already completed more than 50 per cent of negotiations. Almost
everything had been agreed but with half an hour to go Spurs changed their minds, something I found very odd.

"Both myself and my agent have been left disappointed, sad and angry at the way Tottenham have acted.

"After such a long time without having any confidence in me I am now
going to get my chance, which makes me feel weird. Even so, I mean to
take this opportunity out of respect to the Tottenham fans and also
because of the professional I am."

Is still here. anyway I was listening to Five Live this evening and
Harry said he is going to give Gio a chance to prove himself this
season. I am happy to hear that, he has a fianal chance, I hope he takes
his chance this time. There will be opportunities in the Carling Cup
and Europa Cup. I still think he has the talen tto make it in this
league, the issue is whether or not he can show the mental strength
    required. I hope so

sounds to me we couldnt get a replacement for crouchie in time so they made gio stay what with robbie & crouchie leaving, it would have left us 1 short of strikers again, i hope he does get his chance this time the boy is still only 22 and talented

I really can't say that I'm unhappy at this. For a while now I've been saying that I'd like to see GDS played up front. It would be interesting to see how he would link up with a player like Adabadhairday or even VDV.

Hopefully he'll be a revelation and it'll be like we got that new striker signing all along.

If this is accurate then you cant blame levy for not accepting sevilles offer that was so far removed from the udinese one.

    yea i read that.probably ballacks

Yes max, i saw the newsnow report about gio and didnt realise it had been done, but figures werent mentioned so it was a bit different....however i deleted before anyone had a chance to answer, though lob transferred his answer to the original gio thread.
Dont forget max as long as no one has responded to a thread you may accidently have duplicated you can delete it yourself, its preferable to being merged as you feel like a naughty boy! lol!
