hleading goal-scorers in the EPL for 2011-2012 File

As you can see, Suarez sucks donkey genitals with an appalling 7% of his shots ending up in the back of the net. I bet Pav would get better numbers than him. Adebayor is at least getting most of his shots on target, but his shot-to-goal ratio should be better (that goes for VdV and Rooney as well).
In conclusion, I would say Adebayor should be a bit more clinical, but his partnership with VdV has been fruitful and as long as they keep up their performance, we should keep winning games.

Further evidence proves that Demba Ba will end up being one of the signings of the season. Brilliant stats from him, would like to know his record with West Ham last season adding on to his Newcastle one

Quite simply, these stats are a gauge and nothing more. Demba Ba may end up having a dry spell, whilst Adabad scores a glut. To say that stats after a dozen games is 'proof' of him being the buy of the season is ridiculous and smacks of someone trying their best to say 'I told you so.'

Having said that, Ba has been quality to date.

Don't get too hung up on the stats though Lought. The important stat is how many goals the team scores whilst the striker is contributing. If I am not mistaken, only Citeh are outscoring us at the moment and ALL of our decent strikers are weighing in handsomely.

    Everything else is irrelevant.

Ions right Lought, if you look at all the goals scored for Spurs they come from 4/5 sources, If Demba Ba dont score or Robin Van Persil, those stats dont mean jack.

The more interesting statistic concerns why some strikes have twice as many shots at goal than others, that the number of shots on goal is no indicator of successful completion , and whichever dull f*cking anorak put this sad table together forgot to put in the additional data on matches played, minutes on pitch, do the stats include penalties, and to explain why the goals scored column does not include all goals scored

Other than that a very useful indicator
