    25man Empty 25man

Post by Guest Fri Feb 03 2012, 11:12

With the closure of the January transfer window, Spurs have announced their updated squad list for the remainder of the season.

The 25 man squad is as follows: Friedel, Gomes, Cudicini; King, Kaboul, Dawson, Gallas, Nelsen, BAE, Khumalo; Parker, Sandro, Huddlestone, Livermore, Modric, Kranjcar, Lennon, Bale, Bentley; Adebayor, VdV, Defoe, Saha, Dos Santos and Dawkins.

Kyle Walker and Danny Rose don’t have to be registered in the squad, as they are still classed as U-21 players.

Though the inclusion’s of Bongani Khumalo and the still injured David Bentley will come as a surprise to some, the selection of 24 year old striker Simon Dawkins will cause the biggest shock, as he is yet to play a senior game for the club and has looked more likely to be released than selected for this squad...

In reality, aside from picking a 4th choice keeper again, this is pretty much our entire over twenty one year old selection, with Jermaine Jenas seemingly the only non picked player, but the fact he won’t be able to kick a ball (no jokes please...) until the season closes, is a clue to his non selection.

I make it nine ....The highlighted names I think may well have to be replaced by either young players coming through or by new signings for next season or if Ade is signed on a permanent ....
Throw in Corluka , Bassong and Pienaar who are on loan but want to move on , that's possibly twelve players that will be let go or have to be shifted in the summer, needing replacing.
