But his job is to not lose the ball and protect the back 4, its the creative midfielder that is supposed to make the most forward passes.

Slow, i thought i had it on live pause when Van Bommel had the ball.

surley a player playing for a top 4 club should be able to do more then protect the back 4. surley we moved on from players like freund and zokoro.

im not saying parker is rubbish but just hes limited in what he does.

he had good players around him at west ham like green cole upson noble yet they where never out the bottom 5 in the 2 seasons he spent there

i just think him playing as captian for england is silly. he dont do enough.

and ye he puts hes body in the way and slides around a lot thats because hes so slow so has to go to ground.

i think carrick for england is a better option.

what i will say is playing parker with barry was such a bad idea.
barry shouldnt be playing for england anymore

... I was happy to debate with you Scotty Parker's role in our midfield the other week and I'm pretty sure nothing untoward was said to each other back then, or was there?

I just found your opening post confrontational where confrontation wasn't warranted. Then I read contempt in your response to a post of mine in the OMT. The grease ball comment didn't help and my wife who's a nurse and cares for the elderly has many a time been called that by a grumpy patient. All these put together resulted in my response ..

Had you started this thread, with for example ,congrats to Scott Parker for leading the England team out against The Netherlands, how much you rate Scott Parker but you're surprised by the flak he's getting from both Lought and me, what do other the forum members think of him ? I'd have thought you're were looking to open up debate .

I generally find you fair minded and recall how you kept your cool when changes were being made on the forum and you were getting verbally abused and given a hard time by another poster, almost on a daily basis because of those changes. (hence my surprise you quit over this little spat)
