Interesting Lought should say Bale at left back, I was reading a interview with Danny Alves and he reckoned that if Bale played for Barca they would play him as a left back. Gives him more room to use his pace.

As much as he is our rock, I would play Caulker next to Kaboul instead of Daws, just that bit classier and has more pace.

And Jims right, whenever we have a returning player, they always bang on about getting match fitness.

I think a lot of teams have been looking more tired this season - I have no idea why but Manyoo, Citeh, us and Spuds have looked under the weather in recent weeks - cant recall that drop off in energy in recent seasons.

Chelsea have had a savage schedule but so far have managed quite well - mind you they did not exactly put their all in for AVB so they should have a little more in the tank at this stage.

I reckon it has nothing to do with thudd or dawson not playing because up until the beginning of march we looked a bloody good team hard to beat grinding out results , then comes the bomb shell coppello quits and does arry distance himself from the england job NO

The team just went down hill for no apparent reason, its ok looking for excuses , but lets be honest all these pro players going on talk sport giving it the same old bollox they can't understand or see a reason as to why the spurs team has gone down hill ,well when arry leaves we will finally find out the truth once and for all.

For example ...

Tom Carroll, without doubt our best of the young players in that fruitless Europa League campaign ..Why was he loaned out to Derby? ... He played well in the EL, showed energy, demanded the ball and rarely wasted it so why wasn't he rewarded with a seat on our bench and occasionally bought on for say, Modric?...Wouldn't that have been better for the boy and for Spurs in the long run ?

Rotation is important and must not be underestimated in today's game ... It's not like the old days where players half fit could get away with it ...Players are sprinting more and covering more yardage than ever before ...Harry p*sses me off with his boring , in my day blah blah blah...

Today's game is fast , really fast, it also has top flight teams that do not take the domestic cups seriously and many go out in the early rounds to lower league opposition, preferring to rotate their own squads.
This quite often means, when we're playing mid table or lower teams on a weekend in the league, our opponent's players have been rested midweek. If ours have not been, then this evens things up I'd say... Harry don't seem to get this...

I Agree with all that you say Jim except for Hudd. I think he was found wanting in quite a few games last season, to many times caught in possesion, lacked consentration for 90 mins.. A good squad player but just lacking top class for me. Modric, Bale and VDV can change a game with a touch of brilliance, I don;t see that with Hudd.I know he an put in the odd brilliant 30/40 yard pass but they are few and far between. But we shall see next season and I hope he comes back a better player.
