I can't help thinking levy is thinking of the cheaper option on back of a team that's mid table who have had a ok season with a manager who has had no experience at the top level , ok 1 season in the prem they are 12th, sorry but why not jol fulham are 9th , why rodgers? because they play well at home , do me a favour , we should be looking at a top world class coach imo ,if he is offered the job fair enough but i think it would be a mistake

Well look at it this way, name 3 truly world class coaches since Nicolson , i can only think of 1 and that was venables

weve had some decent managers who did well, burkingshaw, but he never did much after spurs, all our past manager have been ok average most, but only one jumps out at me, and thats venables ,who had 3 years as barca coach , and they only have the best , since then weve had sh*t, ramos couldn't speak english, jol was inexperienced and redknapp had never managed a big team before spurs, whereas venables had been to the very top, we need to get in someone of his calibur. class

When i think back i often wonder what could have been , real shame we looked the business under him
