Re: bolton
convincing victory at Bolton that keeps the Trotters inside the
relegation zone.
Luka Modric put Spurs ahead with a fine dipping strike despite Bolton's claims that Sandro handled in the build-up.
The hosts, watched by Fabrice Muamba from the stands, equalised through Nigel Reo-Coker's first-time finish.
But Rafael van der Vaart slotted in before Emmanuel Adebayor sealed the points with two close-range efforts.
It was Tottenham's first away win in the Premier League since they beat Norwich at Carrow Road on 27 December.
They look firmly on course for a top-four finish and
will hope to take six points from their final two matches, against Aston
Villa and Fulham.
Bolton, by contrast, are fighting to stay in the
division and Saturday's visit of West Brom now takes on even greater
importance.
They are three points ahead of Blackburn and level on points with QPR, but Rangers have a far superior goal difference.
More to follow.

Re: bolton
Your having a laugh Nic, heres an earlier post about possibly the worst ref in the prem.
Poor old Atkinson has endured a torrid season. He dismissed Jack Rodwell for a legitimate challenge on Luis Suárez, the decision swiftly rescinded.
He failed to realise that Clint Hill’s header for QPR had crossed the Bolton goal-line. He allowed Mario Balotelli’s awful challenge on Alex Song to go unpunished.

Re: bolton
As I have said previously, and often, the ref gets one go at it and does his best. Far, far more contentious split second decisions are called right than are ever called wrong
The game is high speed, players cheat, managers cheat, unlike the so called meeja experts the referee does not get the chance to review a decision from seven different camera angles
Inevitably under the present system, with no video replays, errors happen
So all the shite piled on referees is uncalled for

But Atkinson seems to want more than one go, his record of bad decisions is apalling, his costing teams valuable points, the occaisional error, but its becoming serial with Atkinson.

Re: bolton
So when a Refs decision goes against Spurs Nic we should dare not criticise and doubt, yet when a Refs decision may possibly benefit Spurs we should criticise ?

Re: bolton
Be consistent though
When your club gets the benefit of a wrong decision give the referee the same shite
And don't ever claim not having video review ain't what a professional sport requires

Re: bolton
Not for a single second
IF you want to give a referee hell, whether they produce a good decision or a dodgy decision then get on with it
My suggestion is DON'T slag off a referee when you don't get a dodgy result and ignore it when Spuds get a dodgy decision in their favor
It's nonsense mate
Have one line or the other

Re: bolton
they have players non stop lying to them trying to gain an advanages.
coaches tell the players to go to ground if touched and claim for everything even if it didnt touch you

Thats got nothing to do with the inordinate amount of mistakes Atkinson is making.
