    Tom Carrolll Empty Tom Carrolll

Post by djfitzo Sun Nov 18 2012, 20:10

I have to say the boy looks class, composed on the ball, a lovely left foot and it seems the AVB is prepared to give him a chance, that first time pass for Defoe against Maribor was sublime, could be very big for us.

I said in the OMT Dave that he came on in very difficult circumstances and looked extremely composed. He looks a very good prospect . . . . .

Where I was sitting Vis I thought it was Sig coming on, then when he got on the ball it was unmistakable who it was, he reminds me of when Whilshere first broke on the scene, years ahead of his time, you could even play Dembele behind Ade and have Sandro denfending and Carroll behind spraying it about.

Great Prospect, needs to eat more meat and get in that gym! Looks a bit lightweight, otherwise good football brain.

John White was lightweight DJ but by God did he find players with a top class through ball. I wrote a reply to a post last week and I said then Carroll reminds me of White or perhaps another Hoddle?.

It's early days yet for the young Tom Carroll. Whether he can be exceptional I don't know but I do know for sure that he is decent player. Has the basic requirements for a midfielder as he plays with both feet, for the quick angled pass and then moves into space wanting the ball, he also is no slouch . Huddlestone please take note!
