We missed out on the Champions League place due to a poor run in and also dropping points to teams fighting to avoid relegation. I have looked back through our history to find our worst and best run in for our last 10 matches. I will start with the worst.
    1953-54 under Arthur Rowe, W 2, D 2, L 6. 6 points from 20.
Only 2 points a win those days.
    1965-66 under Bill Nicholson, W2, D 2, L 6. 6 points from 20
Yes even Bill had his bad times.
    1990-91 under Terry Venables, W 1, D 6, L 3. 9 points from 30.
Based on three points a win.
    2002-03 under Glenn Hoddle, W 2, D 1, L 7. 7 points from 30.

    Now the best.
    1950-51 under Arthur Rowe, W 7, D 2, L 1. 16 points from 20.
    1951-52 under Arthur Rowe, W 7, D 3, L 0. 17 points from 20.
    1957-58 under Jimmy Anderson, W 7, D 2, L 1. 16 points from 20.
My first visit to White Hart Lane was the 57-58 season where I saw Spurs beat Cardiff, 5-0.
    1966-67 under Bill Nicholson, W 9, D 1, L 0. 19 points from 20.
    1989-90, under Terry Venables, W 8, D 0, L 2. 24 points from 30.
    2008-09 under Harry Redknapp, W 8, D 1, L 1. 25 points from 30.
    2009-10 under Harry Redknapp, W 8, D 0, L2. 24 points from 30.
These stats are based on the old first division and premiership only.
