Re: Bale
Has anybody thought it might be Levy and Spurs who have said he has an injury and not Bale? The whole world knew he was going to RM weeks ago it was the worst kept secret in football, just a matter of how much.
Spurs did not want to risk their pot of gold with a real injury.
Sure he wanted to go to Real Madrid what player in the world wouldn't. But before people start to blame him for "feigning " injury or keeping silent, way up all the facts, maybe he was told to. Spurs were not about to spoil the golden egg were they?

Exactly what I was thinking no wonder he only had 4 assists last week always trying to have a go himself to be on the shop windowdjfitzo wrote:Damn right, they all want their cake and eat it, don't want to spoil his relationship with the Spurs fans, too late sunshine, your way past that, I really hope he goes now, never feel the same again, bet AVB feels let down ,he indulged him last season and I thought Bale had a mutual respect, guess Bale is just another in a long line of money grabbing glory hunters.Loughtonguy wrote:was clear he wanted to go because he not said anything all summer.

Re: Bale
The Spanish giants remain in pole position to sign the 24-year-old Welshman, but Spurs say no agreement has been reached with Real.
The second bidder's identity is not known but Manchester United have been linked with the forward this summer.
Meanwhile, Spurs have spoken to Chelsea about buying a player to replace Bale.
They were close to signing Brazilian winger Willian as a replacement last week before a late bid from the Blues beat them to his signature.
However, as it stands, Chelsea are refusing to do business, to the frustration of Spurs.
After his side's 1-0 win over Swansea on Sunday, Spurs coach Andre Villas-Boas said he expects Bale, who has been in Madrid this week, to be back at training on Tuesday if a deal has not been agreed with Real.
Bale travelled to the Spanish capital over the weekend to discuss the move.
Real play away to Granada on Monday, having won their opening La Liga fixture 2-1 at home to Real Betis.
Their next home game will be on Sunday - a day before the transfer window closes on 2 September - against Athletic Bilbao.
Bale, who joined Spurs in a £10m deal from Southampton in 2007, was named player of the year by both the Professional Footballers' Association and Football Writers last season after scoring 26 goals for the White Hart Lane side.
Madrid have already spent in excess of £50m this summer, bringing in Spanish midfielders Asier Illarramendi from Real Sociedad and Malaga's Isco for £34m and £23m respectively.
I don't think it's ManUre. They simply can't afford him surely? Unless they throw in Vidic, Rooney and vin persil lol!. Be lovely if it was a remote Russian club and Mudrid get shafted and Bale realises the grass isn't always greener.
My take is this is bullshit from Levy to stop a dawdling Mudrid getting cold feet on the last day . . . .

Re: Bale
Not just Madrid but if reports are true several other clubs are waiting in the wings for Madrid players (including Arsenal) so it may just be a Levy ruse to make those deals very much last minute.

Gareth Bale: Real Madrid target fails to show up for Spurs training
Tottenham forward Gareth Bale has failed to report to training as requested following a club-authorised break in Marbella.
Bale, 24, is the subject of a world-record £86m bid by Spanish giants Real Madrid, but Spurs say no agreement has been reached.
Tottenham have received a separate offer in addition to Real Madrid's bid.
The second bidder's identity is not known but Manchester United have been linked with the player this summer.
Tottenham had instructed Bale to return to training on Tuesday, but no reasons have been given for his failure to report for duty.
Real Madrid have made two different offers for Bale and are waiting to see whether Tottenham accept either one.
It is believed that a stage, nicknamed the 'Bale Box', has been erected at the Bernabeu to unveil Bale to the Spanish club's fans.
Bale was not at White Hart Lane on Sunday as Tottenham beat Swansea 1-0, courtesy of Roberto Soldado's second-half penalty, but Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas defended the player's absence.
"We allowed him two days off," said the former Chelsea manager after the match. "It's not the first time this has come up. We never force non-selected players to come to our games. I decided that last season."
Real Madrid's next home game will be on Sunday against Athletic Bilbao, a day before the transfer window closes on 2 September.

Re: Bale
Pleaty. What a legend. Out shopping with his wife in Borehamwood for a mobile phone case and the guy in the store only turns out to be a Tottenham fan who posted the snap of Spurs Director of Football on the Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur Facebook Group.
The following are quotes
"Was just talking about Bale, and the money we have to spend was always an investment from Joe Lewis regardless of Bale going or staying"
Which is not the first time this has been suggested. Perhaps the ‘we’re spending the Bale money’ crew can finally take this as their cue to wind their necks in.
Kept saying the "Real and Bale’s agent have pissed Levy of royally!"
Whilst at first glance this is a positive, does it indicate that the Real Madrid circus has worked and Bale is now playing up, as planned, or is Bale still mindful that he’s a Tottenham player?
He also said "if Bale goes it will only be to Real Madrid or abroad never a PL club"
