He was superb whatever part of the pitch he was in.
I'm really chuffed for the guy. He's had a bit of a mare since his first season but, hopefully, he's turned the corner and we now see just why we paid so much for him.
Great result and some real character in adversity from the whole team.

Hutton was Brilliant and he deserves to keep his place, however Kaboul had a good game and our defence looked much better without Charlie.

Mentioned to Lought the other evening that it was time to have a look at Hutton again. Now if what I understand is correct the guy has had some "personnel issues". From what I'm reading on here the guy may just have put them behind him and re-found his love of the game. Hope so . . . . .

he was so good going forward. he was so direct. he didnt have to go on that run in injury time. he could of played it in the corner but he saw the gap and went for it.
it makes such a differnce compared to corluka whos so slow .

yea hutton was strong today deserved a chance in the first team as i think corluka not been too good lately and he seems to have gotten even slower over the summer

Hutton may just have edged Kaboul out too although I thought he had a good game too.

Didn't know Crouch got man of match, he worked hard for the team but i would have had VDV, Hutton and Bale ahead of him.

I like a backline with speedy fullbacks ...I think Kaboul is a better defender than Hutton but perhaps in future, the scot could be given a similar role to Bale playing ahead of a fullback ?

Gallas got some good applause from the fans for some of his interceptions. Not rapturous but polite. He is slowly working his way in as a Yid. All he needs to do now is score against the a*se and he will do himself a big favour.

As you say Baz Kaboul has been too good this season to leave out.
