WILLIAM GALLAS is close to sealing a new two-year deal at Tottenham.
SunSport can reveal Spurs have opened talks with the veteran defender.

Boss Harry Redknapp wants Gallas, 33, to accept a pay-cut to get a longer deal - and that is the only sticking point.

The former ars*nal skipper rejected a new deal at the Gunners last summer, opting to join Spurs.

He is believed to be on £40,000 a week at White Hart Lane, a lot lower than the £70,000 a week he turned down at ars*nal.

Gallas left because the Gunners would give him only the option of a second season and not a closed contract.

i think he has been excellent but 2 years is to much, we should extend it just by one year

Depends if he can get over his hip injury. If not out him and go for a younger established centre half. No point carrying 3 aging injury prone centre halfs . . . .

Good for you too lought, recognising a great signing while others didnt want him for being an ex goon.

He,s been great this season, what the fck would we have done without him, i shudder to think, and he should be captain.

I think most on here thought Gallas was a good signing. There may have been a few who didn't want him but they were in the minority. I think he has been a fantastic signing for us and I hope he stays longer. One of the best things about him was. It p*ssed a lot of goons off.

More importantly If he had stayed at Arsenal they would almost certainly had a few more points as their defence leaks goals and he would have done a better job that the current lot. HA HA HA woo hoo
