    Tottenham are set to announce the signing of Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel on a two-year deal to replace the error-prone Heurelho Gomes as the club's number one for next season.

    what do we all make of this. surley cudichini should be the one who leaves for brad. gomez number 2 for now. gomez is still young for a keeper.

    Fridel is top goalie , hes vocal and get real mad with his defense and isn't shy of showing it to , just what we need

    I think Friedel is a good keeper. Another keeper I like although I have only seen him on tv is the Wolves keeper Wayne Hennessey. If this is true about Friedel I can not see Gomes staying around for long.

    Gomez is a brilliant shot stopper Len no question about it, but he lacks in other departments, hes prone to major bloopers and he makes me nervous on corners and free kicks cos you don't know what hes gonna do hes so unpredictable and i expect the defense would harbor the same concerns about him !! hes a nice fella but a liability imo, if we keep him he won't get many games with freidal in goal who i rate very much !
