All our striker are crap? what shall we do.

All our strikers are not crap Sid ... Okay Crouch IMO is, if Im allowed to say it, is the exception ... It's jus they're not as good our manager thought they're ....

Pav for me, is the best of the lot , but he can wind-up even his most ardent fan .....

Keane was good a few seasons back and if he was anywhere that form , he would be our best forward by a country mile ...

Defoe is all about power and burst of speed but you need more than that and has never really been a goal poacher of simple goals and his link up play , and ball retention is mediocre...

Crouch has no power in his legs to run past a defender or the power for a decent shot on goal.... Not to sure how many headed goals he's scored for us from set pieces but you'd think he should have a bucket load looking at him?


If they all stay injury free and we have to make do with them again, then I think they should do better with their scoring stats than last season ..

However, it could go against them if its a slow start and the same old story with them... I can see some of the WHL fickles will no doubt voice their opinions louder than been heard before...

Personally I think all three have run their course for us and this coming season will be no different. We certainly need new blood and I also think a change of scenery for them would be the best thing.

I agree Sid perhaps the MF didn't produce enough clear cut chances but in fairness between them they did miss a lot of goals last season.

I believe we need a player like Parker who can drive forward from MF and score goals. To many times last season our MF was broken up in mid flow. We have some great passers of the ball but they were not always able to set them up.

We certainly need 2 strikers to replace at least 2 of what we have and a Parker type player if not him....Sneider would be perfect but he's never coming to us...... and possibly a CD but we could get by in that department if we had to.

cant you lot see its vdv the problem because we hardly ever play 442 when he plays. and if harry is brave enough to play 442 with vdv then lennon gets dropped

another thing you hit upon is our strikers are greedy.
defoe could of played pav in yet ignored him
and pav himself is guilty of havin stupid shots

its a shame robbie kean is overlooked by harry now as he does have a football brain and could link up well with vdv.

Thought the same myself last night Lee but it was late and I couldn't be bothered.

im sure robbie would have scored in more then 2 games. he has a footbal brain unlike defoe and crouch,

i would put money on gio or adel gettin more goals or assitts up front then the donkey.
