In hindsight a few mistakes were made. But at least one i would have made. I said to bring back Palacios & no one was to know he was still in hibernation mode from his two games out with suspension. But Kaboul should have stayed at RB he'd done well enough in Corluka's absence. Plus changing Assou-Ekotto to the right,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, messed up our settled left hand side.
But i have to say the main problem was that we just never played well. Dawson & King played well. But the rest of the team especially down the flanks came up short. Bentley was back to his usual self not playing well because he was worried about Lennon. Defoe & Pav looked,,,,,,,, while working hard, toothless.
There's not much more to say really, Man Utd weren't great but we got beat because nor were we. Nani's goal was the only decent piece of play in the game. The first penalty was nailed on & the second while a little soft,,,,,,, if the boot was on the other foot i'd have wanted a Penalty. Plus Palacios was silly going in like that as it did look like Dawson was coming round on the cover.
But we got 6 points of a possible 9,,,,,,,,,, when if most people were honest they'd have feared we'd get 0. So we're doing OK & it will be certainly all down to the Citeh game now. I'm looking forward to it,,,,,,,, our season going right down to the wire & the last few games,,,,,,, Superb.
