Khumalo jetted off out of the country today and is set to meet his manager Glyn Binkin in London where they will discuss personal terms with Spurs.
According to a reliable Kickoff.com source close to the deal, the English Premiership side have already agreed on a R17-million transfer fee which will allow the Manzini-born defender a chance to move to White Hart Lane when the transfer window re-opens in January.
"Tottenham has requested that Khumalo be allowed to train with them again when the SuperSport United fixture calendar allows him to travel to England.
"SuperSport's next game in on October 16 and that is why they allowed him to take the trip to England today," the source said.
