    Crouchinio Empty Crouchinio

Post by Guest Thu Dec 02 2010, 10:07

Is he the new Alan Gilzean ? Now I realise he doesn't have the arieal prowess of the head that Gilly had, but when looking at the Stats they are very similar with Crouchinio, maybe slowly, creeping ahead. They both make / made goals for others and their goal scoring feats (at present) are - for Gilly 477 games & 206 goals. A ratio of a goal every 2.31 games over a 16 year top-flight career (113 goals where scored in Scotland !). 12 goals in 22 internationals. Crouchinio has 134 goals from 426 at a ratio of 3.17 over a period of 12 years. Except for 3 goals in Sweden & 1 for Dulwich Hamlet all goals scored where in England at the highest levels of Premier & Championship (therefore harder goals than Gillys in Scotland ? Thats the debating point !). Crouchinio also has 22 goals from 42 internationals. Another record that matches Gillys and maybe slowly crept ahead of. Now Gilly is one of my heroes and will be for many of a "certain" age on here, but it must be said that an uncanny resembelance beetween the two (statiscally) is starting to emerge even though they are two completely different type of players . . . . . ..

i never saw gilzean play so i cant comment on him.

as for crouch england recored it is good but mostly aganst nuffin teams. as somone else said about tarrabts goals sayin cameron or not good. most international teams outside the fifa top 10 or really bad.

crouch only recently managed to get 2 assist in 1 game for spurs when he set vdv up for 2 goals.

Crouch like Gilzean? No, I believe that Gilzean was in a different class, very good in the air, good ball controll on the ground, and a far sharper player. Gilzean was a player that will long be remembered along with other Spurs great's where as Crouch, imo, will never be seen in the same light. Lought, that was brilliant and I am giving you a rep point.
