Oh wouldn't it be nice to get on with me neighbours (The Small Faces featuring Stevie Marriott). No actually it wouldn't. It would be nice to do the double over 'em this season tho'. 3 points and we are level pegging with Citeh. So C'Mon You Spurs . . . . . . .

Tottenham welcome back striker Peter Crouch, who was suspended for the Champions League exit to Real Madrid.

Midfielder Steven Pienaar hopes to return from a groin problem, and may be on the bench.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Song could start after making his comeback from a knee problem as a substitute against Liverpool.

Wojciech Szczesny and Johan Djourou returned from injury on Sunday, and are also likely to start against Spurs.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Tottenham

    Doubtful: Pienaar (groin)

Injured: Hutton & Palacios (both knee), Woodgate (calf), King (groin)

    Arsenal

Doubtful: Almunia & Sagna (both knee), Denilson (toe)

Injured: Bartley (knee), Fabianski (shoulder), Mannone (thigh), Vermaelen (Achilles)

    MATCH PREVIEW
Tottenham and Arsenal may have been no match for Champions League conquerors Real Madrid and Barcelona, but there is still plenty at stake in North London's answer to 'El Clasico'.

If Spurs can record their third successive league win against their rivals it will be a huge boost to their hopes of snatching a top-four spot. Anything other than an away victory will finally kill off the Gunners' slim hopes of ending their trophy drought.

It was a similar story when the sides met at White Hart Lane in mid-April last season; on that occasion Tottenham were smarting from an FA Cup semi-final defeat to Portsmouth, but they made amends by claiming a first league win against Arsenal since 1999, condemning the Gunners to another season without silverware.

Liverpool's equaliser on Sunday, which Dirk Kuyt scored in the 12th minute of added time, means Arsenal are also likely to end the current campaign empty handed.

Arsene Wenger's side have been on the wrong end of some incredible comebacks this season; they somehow frittered away a four-goal lead to draw at Newcastle, and lost 3-2 to Spurs at the Emirates despite having led 2-0 at the break. It may require an even more extraordinary turnaround if the Gunners are to overhaul Manchester United in title race.

    MATCH FACTS
    Head-to-head

    • Arsenal have lost their last two league games against Tottenham, having been unbeaten in the previous 20. However, they did win 4-1 at Spurs in a League Cup third-round tie in September.

    • Seven of the last 10 league meetings at White Hart Lane have ended in draws.

    Tottenham

    • Rafael van der Vaart scored seven goals in his first six home appearances for Spurs. However, he has scored only once at White Hart Lane since 9 November, converting a penalty against Bolton in February.

    • Tottenham have lost just one of their last 26 league matches at White Hart Lane (against Wigan in August).

    • Harry Redknapp's team have lost just one of their last 10 league games (W4, D5, L1).

    • Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has scored 99 Premier league goals.

    Arsenal

    • The Gunners are unbeaten in six away league games in 2011, winning three of those.

    • They have conceded seven goals in their last three away league games.

    • Arsenal are on a 15-match unbeaten run in the league, although this includes seven draws. They are the only Premier League team who are unbeaten in 2011.

    • Robin van Persie has scored 18 goals in 19 games for club and country in 2011, including 16 goals in 17 matches for Arsenal.

Been busy Arnie and didn't have chance to start the thread until yesterday. I would go for . . . . .
    Gomes
    Benny Dawson Gallas Kaboul
    Sandra
    Bale Lennon
    Moddle
    Pavy Crouch
Leave Defoe & VDV on the bench and use as impact and to change formation if required (pavy & Crouch off) . . . .

Okies fair doos Vis ...I meant that only you and Lought had posted on it ...sure some of the regulars have been in since you started it up but never mind lol

As for your line-up , you're doing it again with your left and right trick eyes
Seems an okay team but I'd be suprised not see Hudd in the starting line-up ....Sandro for me also has to start , he was our best player in the Cola Cup against the Goons and he's come on leaps since then...

In this particular game I would go with Sandro instead of Hud but maybe give Hud some time later in the second half.

LOL Arnie on my screen Benny is on the left as is Bale ! Ye gods man what more do you want lmao Get ????
Sandra has to start he has been our most influential player of late. Thudd has run too hot & cold for me (especially against Real) in his 2 comeback games and I wouldn't want to risk him TBH, as highly as I do rate him. Save him to destroy Chelski & Citeh and give him some time late on against the goners to pop his passes around and have 'em chasing thier tails. I really think we need to have the 2 upfront to keep arsenils holding players busy & not let them settle into their tippy-tappy fluidity . . . . . .

You could be right about keeping their back line on their toes and if thats whats needed then I think we have to play Defoe & Crouch... I think Harry to begin with at least will be quite happy to allow the Goons have the ball in their own half and will look to play to what I belive is our greatest attribute , the counter attack.... I think we will be looking to regain possesion from them the moment their midfielders have the ball in our half rather than we get the ball off their defensive players, first half at least... This is why I think we should baulk up our midfield with the trio combination yet to be seen , Hudd, Sandro and Modric ....

Most likely it wont happen and Harry will play safe with a 4-4-1-1 ... Teams soon to be announced ....COYS!

A classic North London derby. A stunning game of football. Credit to both teams. arsenil started the much better & TBH deserved to be 3-1 up, but we clawed our way back into it and the 2nd half we were much the better team. You could say that arsenil were clinging on at the end. Their 'keeper should have gone for dragging down Lennon (is it twice we have seen Gomes go for similar this season ?) but escaped and kept them in the game with a couple of fine saves. The ref, apart from that, had a cracking game (if he refs the cup final the same way Stoke will stand a fair chance) and let the game flow and the tackles fly in. I can understand why he didn't give the Moddle "pen". So in the league this season we've beat 'em 6-5 on aggregate and they can't even beat us when we gift 'em a 2 goal lead lol. Intresting to see the goner fans celebrating us not doing the double over them. Reminds me of us a few seasons ago and speaks volumes of where the club has got to. As an aside to end on if I was arsenil fan (thank all of creation I'm not) then I would be very worried about whingers mental state. The guy looks as crazy as a sh*t-house rat. Completely lost the plot. You can easily picture him shuffling around muttering to him-self ! Showed his petulance at the end with the brief touch of hands with 'arry but it was intresting to see 'arry share a joke with paddy ricicles about it. I will finish by saying one more thing and that is - COYS . . . . .
