WOW WBA V THFC. 7 letters and only one vowel! This is a fixture of the days when telly was black & white and just going colour with tones of gaudy ORANGE ! A game we should win ? You would hope so. It won't be easy and a point maybe all we can acheive but at full strength and how we are playing my money is on the victory. As an aside the only link between us I can think of at present is Big Marty J? If any of you all posters can think of more then post 'em up. It would be kinda sweet to see a sub-thread of club links appearing in the match threads. Stats & stuff to follow . . . . . . .

Graham Roberts played his last season at West Brom. I think Keith Burkinshaw also managed them for a while.

LOL, damn these 3pm Saturday games. Visiting the father-in-law in Dover on Saturday so the only way I can keep in touch with the game is car radio & mobile. Very inconsiderate scheduling the game at that time & on that day . . . . .

Baggies fans, though, will head to the game optimistic. After all, they have not lost at home to Spurs since 2003 - and got a point at White Hart Lane last season too.

    Tottenham

This is the fifth time that Tottenham have won eight or more of their first 11 top-flight matches and the first time since 1966/67. On all four previous occasions they finished the season in the top four.
Spurs have now scored at least two goals in nine successive league matches, their best top-flight streak for over 48 years since an 11-match run between August and October 1963.
Spurs average 17 shots per game this season, with only Manchester City (19) averaging more.
Younes Kaboul has made more headed clearances, 79, than any other Premier League player this season

    Team news

    25 November 2011

    9Share

Harry Redknapp reports that both Rafa van der Vaart and Jermain Defoe are doubtful for Saturday's trip to West Brom.

Rafa is struggling with a hamstring injury while Jermain has a tight groin.

"Rafa has had a hamstring problem on and off this season," said Harry. "He got it playing for Holland but pulled through again to play on Monday against Villa but felt it and came off again.

"He was sore with it yesterday (Thursday) and he's struggling.

"Jermain also has a groin problem and he had to come off training yesterday.

"That leaves us with Pav and Adebayor. Pav's had a back problem but trained yesterday and looks fine."

Niko Kranjcar (thigh), Danny Rose (ankle), Michael Dawson (Achilles) and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) remain sidelined.

Harry said that Jermain has been unlucky not to feature more in the Premier League of late.

"Jermain's a fantastic player," added the manager. "We had a reserve game in midweek against Charlton, he scored five goals and they were all incredible finishes.

"He's just been unlucky. I've said all along, Emmanuel Adebayor came in and has been great up front and I've Jermain or Rafa to play with him.

"Jermain was in good form at the time but Rafa has been in fantastic form, his goalscoring has been top-class.

"Jermain has been unlucky and so have a few of the other lads, but the team is playing well and I can't change it."

Ok Lought, lets see what Super Pav can do!!

Okay everyone, team news is in. Harry makes two changes, Jermain Defoe for Rafa van der Vaart (hamstring) and Sandro in for Luka Modric, who is ill. Youngsters Harry Kane and Ryan Fredericks also on the bench. STARTING XI - Friedel; Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Parker, Sandro, Bale; Adebayor, Defoe. SUBS - Cudicini, Bassong, Fredericks, Gallas, Livermore, Pienaar, Kane.

Yippee get in & find a 1-3 win. Sweet. Reports I have read said the ref done us a few favours but the stats I have seen - 51% poseesion, 14 attempts on target, 9 off, 10-1 on corners - show me that yet again we are capable of producing results. Only 2 points behind ManUre with a game in hand . . . . .
