Re: What Now ?
I have only heard him say " Any English manager would be honoured to be asked to manage England " Which of course is true. It doesn't mean he will take it. Anyway as I said on the post earlier I don't think he is their type of man and would be surprised if they gave him the job.

If available managers such as these I'd hope would be on Levy's list ....
Mark Hughes
Jurgen Klinnsman
Gus Poyet

Usual suspects arnie, draw specialist hughes, part timer klinnsman, old failure poyet, bigger than the club mourinho..........boas...no thanks.
Both Harry and Hughes have drawn the same amount of games this season Lew ... Klinsmann is a risk but I think worth sounding out ..Poyet has worked with many of our players and if theres no bad feeling why not ? Mourinho a past target of Levy's, is a long shot I know but should he be shown the door in Madrid , again why not ?
Boas no thanks but yes to Warnock [/quote]
Yes thats right, unless i havent got daniel levy correct we arent going to sign foreign managers anymore.
doesnt that rule out boas and all the other money grabbing tossers.?

Well each to their own Lew ...You stick with Warnock ...
Also, Boas speaks fluent english and his mothers side has english linege...This is not Ramos all over again ....
He will be a success outside Porto and Im sure he will be at an english premeirship club in the not to distant ...
I wouldnt mind him at Spurs next season and he can bring a couple of those Porto players too like Falcao and the center-half Rolando ...

Thanks Len ..... I'd prefer it if I were singing Harry's praises but, its as if in recent months he's done his best to suck out of me, any confidence I had in him ..
The game with Blackpool he was a nitemare tacticly ...

philip wrote:Arnie I agree with a lot of points you have made especially the following:
1. Definitely Rednap has got one eye on the England job this is why he does not want to be outspoken cue Bale's injury
2. I was perplexed by his substitutions I don’t know what he has got against Kranjar; remember it was after his introduction that we equalised to save our blush. Also I am beginning to see Lou’s point that Rednap has got his favourites. What about Pienner
3. Trying to rubbish the Europa cup is not the right thing to do, like Arnie I think it sends the wrong message to the players. Why not use the Europa Cup to field young and untried players
4. He always uses the same players, his policy of sending all young players on loan p**ses me of to be frank, you can see that players are getting tired which has coincided with the poor form. Why no refresh and change players around like what Ferguson does?
However I do not agree with you on these two points:
1. In a whole Rednap has done wonders for the club, he has stated on TV and newspapers that we only need a few players to improve the team
I agree Phillip, Harry has done well but Im asking myself could he have done better? Whilst he can continulay remind us all of the spending power of those around us , perhaps wrongly , I see our squad as those teams equal bar our forwards.. I think he's handling of the squad has been poor and tacticly he's also been found wanting.. He's not Tottenham bullish enough for me.. He dont even like us fans and is often having a pop and we dont sing songs about him even after all he's achieved ...Seems strange to me that , something aint right, thats not how it should be ..
2. I would not recommend to get rid of Rednap now before a replacement manager is in place. I would say the best approach is to let Rednap groom one of the back room staff for the next two years ready to take over otherwise there is a danger of losing players who are comfortable with Rednap and the backroom staff
Agree about lining up a replacment first ...Meetings in spanish or portugese hotels ?
Im not to excited about the idea of a Tim Sherwood or Clive Allen in charge although it could work ...

Arnie I don't agree our squad is the "equal of those around us" Would Corluka, Ekotto,Bassong,Palacious,Hutton plus any of our strikers get in Utd, City or Chelsea. I don't think so.
I don't believe it is a strong squad, a big one yes,but to much light weight and proved not up to top 4.We couldn't even beat the bottom 5. 10points from a possible 33 from them is just not good enough.

Bar our forwards , Mickey, we have numerous midfielders that the top teams would like to sign ...I look at our defenders and maybe not, but if the pressure was taken off them just a little by quality upfront, I believe you would see a vast improvement there too...
I'd say Chelseas back four is probably the best in the premeirship but how would they fair if their attack was as powderpuff as ours?
The squad we have is not great but it is good and I believe with some tinkering ( buy decent forwards ), good rotation and belief instilled, it can at the very least challenge for the premeirship...

BazSpur wrote:I don't think Arry has said he would take the England job has he?
No he hasnt Baz but thats not the point ...The point is , Harry has not said he's committed to us and has no intrest in being England manager .... Would it hurt if he said , "Im fully commited to making this club champions and the national job is not in my thinking"...This is what I demand from a Spurs manager...If he does really well and he does get the England call, then fair doos but whilst in our employment he owes it to the club to show 100% commitment to the cause ..
If in his mind he believes he can get the national job or even his ego tells him he deserves it after Capello goes, I feel its against us as I want a manager that speaks up for our players and when one of our young players is targetted and then crippled, he speaks out and not spend most of the time defending the player of the opposition in his after match interview..
I dont want my team to be a bunch of thugs but I want them to look out for each other and get in the faces of some opponents when its clear whats going on ... Look at the Stoke players reaction to Wilshires tackle on Pennant or earlier in the season the Man Utd players and Fergies reaction when Carragher went in on Nani ...
Our manager is keeping quite because he has his agenda and if I were Bale I'd be less than happy seeing that post match interview, 'Adams is not that kind of player' Bollox...
