Ben Pearce, Spursreporter: Guest (1.3): This is a common misconception. The issue is not a lack of money, it's the 25-man squad. Spurs already have too many players for a 25-man squad next season, and if they bring in more players now that problem will only get worse. It's easy to say 'buy now, sell later' but, as we've seen time and again with Keane/Bentley etc, it's never as easy as you think to get rid of players you don't want. Levy does not want to be loaning out international players, and/or paying big wages to people who are not actually playing for Spurs!
