Blackburn's Michel Salgado is out with a hamstring injury, so Jason Lowe is set to deputise at right-back.

Lowe's place in midfield may go to the fit-again Morten Gamst Pedersen, but David Dunn, Ryan Nelsen and Vince Grella remain sidelined.

Tottenham have problems in defence with the quartet of Vedran Corluka, Michael Dawson, William Gallas and Ledley King all out injured.

Aaron Lennon and Sandro played in miweek and should be available.

MATCH PREVIEW

At the risk of upsetting the Spurs supporters, the focus on this weekend's game will be almost entirely on Blackburn Rovers.

While Harry Redknapp picked up his seventh manager of the month award having steered Tottenham serenely to an unbeaten five-match run, Steve Kean has had to endure barracking from a vociferous group of Rovers fans who have demanded his departure.
To compound matters, a three-match winless run has now seen Blackburn fall to the bottom of the table and more protests are planned both before and after Sunday's game regardless of the outcome. The club owners though have remained consistent throughout and have once again reiterated their support for the man they only appointed 10 months ago.

Interestingly, this all mirrors the situation just over a month ago when Arsenal were the visitors. Rovers were bottom, protesters vented their fury but the players responded with their best performance of the campaign, twice coming from behind to register their only Premier League win so far.

It was, in many ways, a show of unity amidst a backdrop of disquiet and that spirit has again been echoed this week by Kean's newest recruit Yakubu, who believes that the entire dressing room is behind their leader. And that solidarity will have to be prevalent as they face one of the in-form sides in the division.

Only an 86th-minute equaliser by Newcastle denied Spurs their fifth successive league win, a run which has seen them score 12 times, with Rafael van der Vaart, Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor all hitting three each.

It's an ominous sign for a Blackburn defence which hasn't kept a clean sheet since April and for a team who've only beaten Spurs twice in their last 15 meetings.
