well if crouch and defoe scored one of the easy chances in that game then we wouldnt need to rely on the ball hitting hes head lol.

Heres a first, I agree a little with Lousght on VDV. But has anyone wondered how we got him so cheap? My guess is that its written into his contract that if fit, he starts. The problem for us is or maybe not a problem is when his on form, he is world class, his tweaked his hamstring and looks like Defoe and Ade to start and after the two Manchester games where the whole teams syche was wrong because of the Modric situation and VDV being injured Defoe and Ade started very well with both scoring. Lought you go on about stats and Defoe, but his injury last season disrupted everything for him and the whole team were not providing many chances for him, now we have Walker,Lennon,Bale,Ekotto all banging the ball into dangerous areas and im guessing that if you check the stats we probably are up on last season on goals scored and take away the two Manchester games compare with most on goals conceded.

ye we are better off so far then last seaso. we scored more and i think we conceded less.

i do think vdv has it in hes contract that he has to start every week.
when hes on form hes a great player but when hes not he dont offer much and i think ade and defoe will score goals. ade is a team player and can create chances for other players
