What about our friends down the road, they are buying Poldolski, another left footed forward, seems like a replacement to me, are they really any stronger than us? go back since the prem started and this is really the closest we have been to breaking the stranglehold of the traditional top 4 and all done WITHOUT champions league money, so buckle up, forget about probably the worst team to ever win the champs league and look forward to a very interesting summer and remember one thing, we are still Tottenham Hotspur.

Re: No champs league
Judging by the below, looks like we are trying to sort things early this time round
"Levy is moving quickly to try to improve the Spurs squad, however, and it is understood that he was in Holland last night in an attempt to seal the signing of Ajax centre-back Jan Vertonghen, who was named player of the season in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Arsenal have also been scouting the 25 year-old but it is understood that his desire to join Tottenham has been unaffected by Chelsea taking England’s fourth Champions League place. The Belgium international would cost about £11million.
It is also thought that Spurs manager Harry Redknapp was in Paris last week to meet Marseille striker Loïc Rémy, who the club tried to sign in January.
Talks have progressed positively in recent days with Emmanuel Adebayor, whose loan spell expired at the end of the season. Adebayor’s Manchester City contract is worth £170,000 a week, but it is understood that Tottenham are ready to make a £4 million up-front payment if he agrees to a £100,000-a-week deal to remain at the club until 2016".

Lought, I think the penny has finally dropped with Levy and the fact that he flew out personally shows that, feel a bit sorry for Caulker though, as you cant imagine Harry not starting Kaboul and Vertonghen, Caulker is first choice at the Swans, will he be happy to sit on the bench and fight for his place, all teams need decent cover for every position,
choose any two from Kaboul,Vertonghen,Dawson,Caulker magic!!

Levy isn't talking to him, he is talking to Ajax as, so I am led to believe by top ITK, personal terms have already been settled.
The latest I have heard is that the fee is pretty much agreed, it is just the payment terms that are being ironed out.

If he's unhappy at the competition then he needs to give himself an uppercut followed by a few strong words with himself.
Caulker has consistently risen to the challenge whenever it is asked of him, for my money he will be vying with both Vertonghen and Kaboul for the starting berth within a short period of time and that is the way it should be IMO. The goons showed what is required when they had Adams, Bould, Keown and Judas together. Rotated successfully, kept fit and at peak form throughout an entire season and look at what they did.
They will all get games this season if Aitch manages his squad properly.

Bloody hope so DJ. With the amount of talent available, and the way he has seen us fade 2 seasons in a row, he'd have to be a fool to not realise it. If he carries in regardless then, I'm sorry, I don't really want a fool running the team.
Time will tell.
