I was thinking along the lines of,we all thrash out and agree (majority)a single game that we think will win. Now as many as or as few can join in the debate, but there is no obligation to place a bet. I tend to use betfair.
Now the first few weeks of a season is not enough to get the form going. About five matches in to see whats what. Betting on your own team for me is a no no as it is often done with the heart and not ones head. Also, backing t=one of the top 3/4 teams, produce low odds although they are usually "safeish
bets" Backing a home team that won the week b4 who are playing a team that lost their away game the week before is good strategy. the second part of the season things are different from the first half as the pack unfolds, teams come int o form some teams choke, some become desperate as relegation looms. We also have the first round of managers being sacked and team form improves,Jan window with new players coming in all changes the Game. So there is lots of ponderables to consider.
But with collective knowledge and a majority agreement based on some logic should produce a cople of quid for those who want place a couple of quid at their favourite bookies. We could then post our winnings or just doit for the sport of it to see if we was correct in theory.
