Yours is as good as mine mate. Does make you wonder though doesn't it? And Dein isn't even on the board now PMSL.

Perhaps because Arsene is a very good performer with the meeja whereas AVB does not really have much of a personality in front of the camera or at the press conferences. As you say he suffers in that respect in comparison with Arry who would always give the journos some stupid little quote or quip to satisfy them.

Much more relevant than his ability to charm the meeja is the Portugese's ability to organise and inspire the Spuds players.

And until he, and they, earn a few victories the jury is out.

If you think back to Ramos it took no more than 2-3 games to go from a disappointing start to the season to his P45

We've even got big mouth Deschamps poking his f*cking big nose in now apparentl. Telling AVB who he should pick as Goalie. Manage the French team you cnut and keep out of our business.

I think the meeja's fascination with Spuds is because of the certainty that no matter ho well or poorly things are going thee will be some inexplicable and violent lurch on the roller coaster - especially with your current chairman at the wheel - always newsworthy

Thing is Nic, all managers are under pressure, such is the prem, the only manager that dont seem to get it from the Meeja is Arsene, however theres plenty of noises from ex players in papers.

Plenty of noise from Arsenal supporters too apparently, not happy with the trophy drought. A post from an a*se supporter on facebook recently was saying supporters are calling for him to go.It's a fuuy old game innit.

A results game Baz and if Arsene had two points from his opening three fixtures the doomers would be in full spate.

Very funny on a*se boards on Saturday with the closing of the transfer window - hysteria from the "spend some farkin money" crew

Come Sunday afternoon nothing - you could hear a pin drop - though not at Anfield

The point is however Baz AVB is not Arsene, very different track record

    Well then he should have no problems then;

Mind you didn't Ramos win trophies - at Seville and with Spuds?

And while Lought might think it was crap Arry picked up the FA Cup for Pompey - given the club's lack of cash that was a top, top, top achievement imo.

Didn't GeorgeG manage a Milk Cup win ?

Didn't really do them any favours did it in the sack race ?

If you are in the CL Dave you have a chance of winning it - look at the bizarre run of Chelsea last season

Yes if I ever had any doubts about Arsenal's chance to win the CL trophy they evaporated when I watched the sixth club in England somehow manage to pick it up. Watching that I was tempted to put a thousand on England to win the World Cup ( I resisted)

Mind you you also have to qualify for the competition, whether it is the CL or the World Cup

Be a pity if you didn't wouldn't it. Two lucky escapes for you lot in the last few seasons hey? First Lasagne gate and then then Arry saves your bacon. Your luck won't hold out forever. Then again I remember some years ago an old boy (He was a Spurs supporter) Anyway I digress, he said "Remember one thing, Arsenal are the luckiest club there is" Turns out the old boy was right. You lot get it in spadefuls.

Getting a bit desperate this int it Lought - abusing Portsmouth's 2008 FA Cup win ?

As I recall you went to Trafford Park and got stuffed by ManYoo - Pompey went there and won

I suppose in the world of the paranoid tottingham fan Manyoo tried against Spuds but rolled over against Pompey.

Other than the Milk Cup/Capital One/ Whatver Cup I dont recall Manyoo going easy in any domestic or Euro competition
