And Christmas is weeks away.
He's Spurs and he's scoring, where's the problem?

im glad hes doing well but he started of well in the 09/10 season then went on a long goal drough and then getting outscored by the super pav lol.
i hope defoe keeps on scoring and ade should be made to fight hes way back into the team.

Defoe recently supplanted Teddy as our8th highest goalscorer of all time.he's 3 behind Alan Gilzean with 92 less appearances, 4 behind Len Duquemin and 7 behind George Hunt, both of whom had far more appearances for Spurs.
30 more will see him top Cliff Jones who had 71 more appearances, 45 will see him top Chivers in third.
If he's not a natural goalscorer he's doing an amazing job of faking it!

Rubbish? They're official stats lought.
I'm not interested in speculating on Defoe here. I believe there are better out there, but the facts speak for themselves, he is on the verge of surpassing some of our bone fide goalscoring legends in less time on the pitch. Whatever your feelings for the guy are, that is exceptional and he deserves the kudos that goes with it.

Re: avb on modric and bale
To keep it on track, and my opinion for what its worth is that modric should concentrate on proving he did the right thing by wanting away from spurs, because so far it isnt working for him, rather than trying to continue to tear apart an important component of the spurs side.
There is no doubt in my mind that if spurs fail to get cl football, then bale might move on, he is young and ambitious, maybe if he doesnt realise that ambition at spurs then he could try and find it elsewhere.
As for defoe, even though the thread isnt about him, he is doing well this season, and as shear says his game is about turning away from players, using his speed, not getting on the end of crosses like greaves or lineker.
Also its a different game today, players like defoe are marked so tightly and have to feed off scraps.
I reckon him and ade will get quite a few goals this season.......good partnership.

Depends if AVB will play them at away games. For nearly 20 minutes until Ade got sent off it was working at Arsenal. , Everton have better defenders though and it all depends on how Sandro handles Feliani that will decide the outcome of Sundays match. But I'm of the mind that if you keep Everton occupied in their half, they will do les attacking.
