    New Manager? Empty New Manager?

Post by BazSpur Mon May 03 2010, 20:07

Imagine for whatever reason Harry left. I want you to pick another manager but he has to be British. I would go for David Moyes. He has hardly had any cash at Everton but has done a great job with them. He played half the season without a recognised strike force but still kept Everton above midtable.

Roy Hodgson what he has done at Fulham is just fantastic. A relegation threatened club to a European finalist.

Ian Holloway. Not much of a manager but his interviews would be total class. On a serioius note Hodgson stands out, Moyes has always done well with what he has at Everton. Bring back Hoodle maybe ? But I wouldn't mind seeing Clive Allen get a shot at it. It's obvious he is learning loads working with 'arry and his merry men and it would be refreshing to see a promotion from within . . . . . . . .

I think Moyes has been great for Everton in the past few seasons but some of his buying has been a bit suspect especially in the striker area. But then if the papers are to be believed and Harry wants to sell Modric and Bale to raise money for Jones(he wont go away will he) and Calton Cole then we could be in for some of the same. I know i'm getting carried away here but it does frighten me that we could blow a great season away by some ridiculous sales and buys. Anyway back to the original thread about a manager it would have to be Hodgson for me what he has done this season on no money plus his tactics in crucial games in Europe and the way he has got certain players motivated and playing their best football, notable Murphy and Zamora has been fantastic. But Harry is going nowhere unless he sells our best players and is lynched by the supporters.
